Is there any non-representational aspect to perceptual experiences?

• Yes, there are these things called 'qualia'. They may help with the representing, but they can also be appreciated in their own right.

• No way. Once you've fixed the representational details of a perceptual experience, you've got the phenomenology for free.

• Well...strictly speaking there's just the content. But there is, I suppose, also the matter of the mode in which the content is presented, perceptual vs. cognitive, visual vs. haptic and so on.
