Viva le sneezeguard! Do you eat from salad bars?

I went to a restaurant with a salad bar and found a piece of glass in my salad. After treating me as though I put it there myself, the manager offered us a free round of drinks. When I worked at a restaurant, a piece of glass broke on the salad area in the back, EVERYTHING was thrown away and set up with new stuff, they didn't want to risk a piece of unseen glass getting to a customer. This place didn't even change the part of the salad bar where I think I got the glass sliver. We were pretty disgusted and decided to leave. Then they offered a free dinner, but we refused and left. I could not believe the place would take that kind of risk...we told the people waiting in line for a table on the way out (it was a pretty long line too) and a lot of them left. I could not fathom staying...if that was how they treated stuff the customers could see, imagine how things were in the kitchen! The place has since gone out of business.
