Is Groupon ultimately good or bad for small businesses?

• Bad. There’s not enough flexibility for businesses to personalize special offers.

• Good. It’s all about getting people in the door. Once you do that the rest is up to you to get them to come back.

• It depends. Certain businesses should avoid Groupon due to the possibility of overselling their deal thus overburdening themselves.

• It’s all about the consumer. What’s good for consumers in a rough economy takes precedence.

• I don’t know. I’ve never tried Groupon before.

• Who cares! I'm addicted to Groupon.
