The idea that fascism is a "right wing" ideology is something you picked up in high school -- probably just before you dropped out. The "political spectrum" is a silly simplification designed to keep inattentive children engaged. It has no basis in political philosophy or the history of social contract theory.
Ideological fervor, in itself, is a left wing conceit. Conservatism is based on freedom. Freedom of thought. Freedom of movement. Freedom of speech. And freedom from the oligarchic and dictatorial forms of government that are the inevitable result of all leftist ideologies.
Although I originally voted "Mao," Obama's symbiotic relationship with GE, George Soros, and other Wealthy Elitists and Corporatists has changed my mind. He is definitely more like Mussolini.
He pits warring factions from the underclass in battles against each other for scraps. He taxes and controls the middle class to keep them clawing for meager subsistence, holding them down with trivial, random, burdensome, and bureaucratic regulatory requirements. Meanwhile, he raids the coffers and uses the booty to hand out gifts to his corporate masters and his loyalist "big labor" drones.
