Do you respond positively to PETA's publicity stunts?

    I hope PETA will combine items 4 and 5 of the poll results (aren't they the same thing?) and accept that their methods are overwhelmingly ineffective. I, too, would like to dump blood on people who wear fur coats, and free the research bunnies from their cages, but I don't because a new fur coat would be purchased, and more bunnies would be purchased on the next federal grant that I would fund with my tax dollars. duh. PETA's cause is wonderful but they continue to counteract it by being their own worst enemy.

    To be fair, I do think they deserve credit for exposing animal cruelty cases with their undercover work. The plain truth is shocking enough.No need to add anything more.

    Isn’t it true that we are what we eat? When I visited a zoo six months ago, I observed that vegetarian animals, in general, were calmer, more relaxed, and enjoying their leisure, than carnivores such as tigers, lions and foxes, agitated and restless in their enclosures. The food we eat not only affects our body, but also our minds. Vegetarian food is good not only for our physical health; it’s good for our mental health also. Be kind to animals. Don’t slaughter and eat them. And nature will be kind to you.

    "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights..." eating meat make me happy, who the hell do you think you are to tell me what i can and cannot eat! PETA has a FUNDAMENTALIST doctrine similar to that of the Taliban's of forcing people to adhere to what they think is right! Do they not understand the idea of FREE WILL and FREEDOM OF CHOICE!

    I will say time and time again, as a total foodie who only, ONLY eats meat (mammals and fowl, anyway) when I am out of state with other animal-rights conscious people who can tell me exactly where the animal is coming from and assure me that it was treated properly:

    I. Hate. PETA.

    As somebody whose daily beliefs and lifestyle supports vegans and vegetarians, PETA does not own my beliefs anymore than any religion does because I think people shouldn't kill other people. Most of the non-omnivorous people I know feel the exact same way.
