They should not build a mosque near the WTC site. Matter a fact, does our Constitution apply to them? Are these people citizens? IMO, from my heart?, well, as far as I am concerned, I do not want islam in America, but, since it is America, that probably won't happen. So, just build it somewhere else because it is an insult to the dead that they can be so close. Not only that but every time they "conquer" a city, the build a mosque on top of the site where a church was. In this case, they can't build right on top of the WTC site , yet.

Polarisation !! is that what you want? Alienating good Muslims ? by allowing freedom of religion perhaps this will alienate good Muslims from the extemist idiots ... the good need to work together against these killers.
It is the only way forward to a better future for everyone .. allow religeous freedom .. set the standard !!
Come down hard on the terrorists, they will always be there under whatever banner/excuse
I am non religeous thats my choice.

New York Times released a story yesterday painting all those in opposition of this mosque as Tea Party members or anti-Muslim religious bigots. Mayor Bloomberg himself paints us as religious bigots. I travel the country and meet people of all racial and cultural backgrounds who are absolutely opposed to this mosque being built at this "location". These people are appalled at the lack of common sense and sensitivity for those survivors and family members of victims of 9/11. America as a nation was wounded deeply by the attack on 9/11, and this mosque is an assault against common decency. No one is deceived by the intentions behind the development of this mosque at this location, and Bloomberg and his henchman are willingly ignorant of the facts surrounding the Imam, the developer, the organization, and the financiers behind this project. When Muslim America throws parties, exchanges gifts and delicacies following the attacks, America should wake up and take a stand. The Stockholm syndrome is alive and well in America, we are sympathizing and submitting ourselves to humiliation and taking the blame for the atrocities committed against us on 9/11 and again by accepting the building of this Mosque. I think Bloomberg and the city council has forgotten who they work for, the citizens of NYC, who marched in droves exceeding 10,000 in attendance earlier this summer to voice opposition to the building of this Mosque "at THIS site". It is not for Bloomberg or the City Council to determine and interpret the "values and traditions" and this Mosque is not about NYC extended "God's love and mercy", as Bloomberg refers, towards the Muslim community. Has anyone asked why a religious center needs to be built in the heart of the financial/commercial district and why this inappropriate zoning approval occurred at all?
