I was never extremely tech-savvy but have always been a gadget hound & I am certainly learning a lot. At first I didn't see the need to root my android phone (motorola droid....& yes...I'm chomping at the bit to get the Droid 2!) :D. I was however, fortunate enough to marry a wonderful man who is also a former unix system administrator...so he taught me the benefits of rooting my phone (we both got android phones around the same time...his is the samsung moment...& he is lusting after the samsung epic as soon as we can get our upgrades!...lol). Alas, he is a die-hard sprint customer & I am as loyal to verizon...lol. but I truly love all of the added capabilities of having a rooted phone...it puts more control in the hands of the consumer & gives you a lot of more ways to get the most from your device! :)

I would if I could keep Motoblur but have a newer droid. If 2.2 would work I would consider dropping Blur.
