do you really think that the games of this generation can possibly compare with games of the snes, genesis, and nes. even the master system and n64 had better games than those that are being produced today. game company these days rely too much on graphics and not enough on game play and story.

There are games that are always awesome and will always be awesome by any standard. Take the game I want to get for the the iphone Shinobi 3. Everybody knows it is a great game and the biggest reason not to play it is because you dont want to break out your old genesis. what better way to play it than on your phone. I would be playing it wright now if my mp3 player had multi touch.

I just recently jailbroke my phone and promptly installed NES, SNES, Genesis, and Gameboy emulators. I agree with Mark, most of the successors do not hold up to the originals. They add better graphics while detracting from the original (usually more difficult) gameplay. I don't have access to a convenient computer to run the emulators, or a good controller for the computer so emulators on my phone are actually the most convenient and enjoyable way to play these games.

Games like breath of fire, megaman, mario, battletoads, metriod, EVO,double dragon, star ocean, kirby, these are all games that spiritual successors do not hold a candle to and make it worth while going through the loops to play on the go.
