Bruch - U have done it again - your writing is superb. Maybe bcs i grew up with all of you, but i was an only child. same background: Jewish, holocost, chicken farm (tho ours was for eggs) your story is like a family journal for me. Your family was such a fascination bcs you were 4 children. i couldn't even begin to imagine what that was like. your big fites with Sol never mattered much to me. i would have loved to trade being spat at thru that trombone, or argued with over tv shows, just to have an older brother in my childhood, and forever. even now, as mother of 4, i don't quite know the taste of sibling life i have been searching for some surrogate brothers and sisters all my life. the sweetness with which you write about Sol, the love i felt between you and Pesha when i saw you recently in your most dear Parents' house, all of us well past 50, wow. You have given me not only a taste, rather a good meal - of what it is to have siblings. i am so glad Sol is wise and wonderful, and has a wife he loves so much and a life like that too. Thank you for another beautiful story. Love, Rennie
