Asian Media Access is a media arts organization, dedicated in connecting the disconnected. Youth In Charge is the web site where the youth display their works.
The Hoang Ahn Dance group was by far the most talented group. The others were well choreographed however I personally did not see how those groups would benefit from this award.

Although I agree that the website name might be misleading, I don't believe anything in the competition description indicates that this is a youth competition. Taken from the description from Round 1 Group A: "ALL IN THE MIX is a talent competition for the AAPI community of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul... This talent competition is to showcase the various talents that can be found in the AAPI community."
I believe all of the groups represented here fulfill this mission. I personally find it inspiring to see both youth and adults participating in and promoting the AAPI arts and cultures.

I'm just wondering why there are adults in this competition...the website is called YOUTHincharge.org right? I think the group that would benefit the most from winning this competition would be the Hoang Anh Vietnamese Dance Group. I'm positive they would put the winnings towards unifying their group by getting matching traditional Vietnamese outfits (and props) for their group members. The other dance groups have intricate costumes that all match. Plus they have the most YOUTH in the group. And I know that you win some, you lose some...but how great would the little kids feel if they won this? THINK OF THE CHILDREN!...time for round two. (let's put the youth in charge. seriously.)

It was great to see Sumunar Gamelan by Joko Sutrisno. I am so proud to see tradition music "Jawa Gamelan" from Indonesia play in Minnesota especially St. Paul area. It's been almost ten years they have played; and entertain a lot friend and family and everyone who loves to hear and see gamelan.I would be happy to support and vote them as the best music entertainment and dances in Minnesota. The sound was so suiting and relaxing my mind. So! Go Summunar I love your music!
