    Skip the fermenting on the windowsill step - it isn't necessary. Just be sure to wash off all the "gook" on the outside of the seeds by agitating and rubbing them in a fine mesh strainer. I have 24 plants in my yard, and my germination rate using this method is nearly 100%.
