How long will you keep working, continuously, on a difficult problem?

I'll stay up for days on end if I have to. I'll sleep when I'm dead.

I'll work all night if I need to, but not two nights running,

After 10-12 hours on the same problem, I need a good night's sleep to re-start my brain and come up with new ideas.

Eight hours, max. They're not paying me for overtime.

If it can't be done in a three-hour lab period, I'm giving up.

Until the next shiny thing comes along and distracts me. Oooh! Shiny thing!

As a being of pure intellect, problems that you pathetic corporeal beings consider "difficult" are trivial for me, and require no extended effort.
