I believe this poll is fairly biased, since it would clearly attract people who already have issues with their USB ports. I don't think the numbers you give in your blog post (http://tabulacrypticum.wordpress.com/2011/05/28/maemo-is-dead-long-live-maemo/) are anywhere near accurate.

Surprise surprise! just collected my phone and it is unrepaired! Nokia say it has been done by force!
how can they have the cheek to do that when they are clearly repairing some peoples phones and not others!

Same as RobBohn, then the micro usb came out completely!
Taken to local Nokia repair centre and am due to pick it back up tomorrow....
Not looking too hopefull judging by other peoples comments.
I will reserve judgement untill I have collected my phone.

This N900 is in use every day since end of march, 2010.
I charge my N900 every night, plus connect it to a laptop via USB once or twice every day, and occasionally while on the road I charge it using a cigarette-lighter adaptor to USB.
So far no problems with the USB port, no problem with charging.
My N900 has recenty been reluctant to recharge, usually NOT going into recharge mode when turned on or off. I usually have to fiddle with it extensively, plugging and unplugging until finally it starts charging. It seems to be taking more attempts lately, usually taking 3-4 minutes of fiddling before it works.
