Someone just said they are sick of Federer,how sad is that. He is the best thing that has ever happened to our great sport. But I can say , from the bottom of my heart, I am sick to death of Nadal. His mom or girlfriend, somebody please tell him how disgusting it is to watch him pick at his underware. My husband and I always look so forward to watching tennis, like some people love to watch football, basketball, or baseball. There are so many great players out there now, but Roger will always be our favorite. He has such class and respect for his fellow tennis players. He will without a doubt win more grand slams. He is playing like he played 2 years ago, and shows no signs of being done. We look forward to watching him for a long time, for he will not fade away like some of the other greats have in the past.Good Luck and God Bless to Roger. He is and always be the BEST.

Roger Federer will certainly win more majors if he continues to play like he has been playing of late. It is a great pleasure to watch him play, especially when he beats his opponents in the top 10. In the ATP Finals he seemed to be a cut above everyone else: no one even came close to challenging him. What a joy it was to watch! Allez, Roger!

I was so happy to see NADAL get his "BUTT" kicked by Federer yesterday. When he plays Roger is the only time I can stand to watch him play, even then I leave the room when he serves. It takes him a minute just to pick at his underware at least 2 times sometimes 3, and then the robot motion just to get the point started. After the point is started then I come back in to watch the point. My point being is, He is disgusting in his manners on court. They are saying his match with Andy Murray is going to be a classic. OMG, 3 hrs of watching him pick at his butt is not fun to watch for 5 minutes let alone 3 hrs of it. His matches are way too long, yes he has some great shot making abilities, but that is about all, You have to have more then good shot making to be the # 1 player in the world, LIKE CLASS, witch he has none of. I know as a mother I would at least take him a side and tell him that is not a pretty sight, son, so do something about it. Yesterday after the point was over the camera went on him and he was digging at his butt walking back to the line. I just screamed, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? YOU ARE IN FRONT OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE, GET BIGGER UNDERWARE OR BIGGER SHORTS. I'M SORRY, IT'S DISGUSTING TO SEE OVER AND OVER, WITH EVERY SERVE AND NOW EVEN BEFORE HE STEPS UP TO SERVE. RF and Rafa MET 20 Times roger lead 3to 2 on the hard court and 3 to 2 on the grass and all the others times on the clay which RF only won 1 time and which makes rafa the best clay court player of all times, but as a whole and finesses and elegancy and shots making and grace no one like federer . how he serves hits moves like riding on clouds . perfect serve vollies , smartness . rafa like uFC fighters , they all on pills no art no nothing just people kicking each others like animals and im 99/100 rafa takes performance enhancing drugs and most do, but not federer . Let me first note by saying that I am, always have been, and always will be a Federer fan. I am sick and tired of the discussion about whether Federer is the greatest tennis player of all time considering that he has a losing record against Rafael Nadal. Let me pose a question. Who is always looking to his coaching box for guidance, uses injury timeouts to throw off his opponents' timing and rythm (spelling) when he is losing, and his coach has been accused of coaching during a match?

The most important point to note is that Federer has done more to change the nature of the game of tennis than any other player today. It is ironic that Federer has helped to produce such a player as Nadal.

Federer is without a doubt the greatest player of all time. No one will ever beat his record of 23 consecutive grand slam finals- winning 16 of them. He was number one for four years in a row! It's very doubtful that anyone else will ever come close to those records. He's a magician with a tennis racket, and continues to be a class act, and a thing of beauty to watch. I'm a mojor Federer fan forever! I hope he wins several more grand slams.

I agree with all of you about the commentators, they drive me crazy. Why can't they just call the match, but it is the same in all the other sports too. Football they are even worse, I think, maybe not. The ones that are on the singles matches never shut up, but boy did Roger play well today. It was beautiful to see. Murray forgot to show up also, but even so Roger could have beat anybody today, he was spot on. Loved it.

I have subscribed to Tennis Channel for a number of years, and several months ago commented on the irritating commentaries that occur during a match, something the British commentators don't do while play is in progress. Shira(?) today, Nov. 22,'10 with Arias did nothing but talk during the entire Federrer/Murray game about ancient history tennis players, totally ignoring the game we were watching! I tried to turn off the volume, but then I miss the full effect of the action on screen, the calls, the sounds of the crowd, etc. This is EXTREMELY UPSETTING TO ME! The comments on ancient tennis history are interesting, but NOT during a match they themselves should be watching! John MacEnroe does the same. PLEASE! LET YOUR CUSTOMERS SEE THE GAME THEY PAY YOU TO SHOW WITHOUT THE INNANE TALK FROM YOUR COMMENTATORS! Arias did fine until he started working with Shira on Nov 22. Shira was there on the 21st as well, but he managed to limit his conversation considerably. Not so on the 22nd!! PLEASE! Let us see the matches we pay you to show without being talked to death about things not even on the screen which occurred YEARS AGO!!!!!!

I am a big big tennis fan. I watched Nadal Roddick match today and I have never in my life seen such a long, boring, disgusting match in my life. I can't tell witch is worse, Nadal picking his butt or Roddick grabbing at his crotch the whole match. I just don't get it People have to had told them before they are on national TV, do they not care. This is why Roger is such a class act. He doesn't celebrate and has a little respect for the person on the other side of the net, just to name a few. Nadal is disgusting, that is the only word I can write on this site that discribes him. If Roger doesn't get the #1 spot back, there is not one person in the top 8 that can come close to deserving that recognition. Nadal looked awful today, besides his disgusting habits, he did not play like the #1 player in the world. He makes me sick, I had to keep changing channels and then come back to see if Roddick could pull it off. He had the match and just let RN back in the match. How sad is that?????????????

Yes, He will definitely win another major. He is so talented and gifted , how can he not! I believe he will because his major rival is Nadal and his game is so physically demanding I don't think his body will hold up long enough for him to continue his dominance. However, having said that Nadal is the best player in the game and it will take some help from him for Federer to win another major.

The person who said Roger Federer is arrogant and self absorbed needs to go back and watch a few more RAFA matches. He always has a snarl on his face,and he struts around the court like he is king Tut. You just don't know Roger's personality to have said that. I used to respect Roger Federer but I think he has become the most self absored player and person I have seen as of late. Rafa changed the game at such a young age and accomplished so much at only 24. No one can say that about Roger. I think it is time for Roger to retire. I will say he is an incredable player and deserves all he has worked for, but his time is over. Rafa is #1 and will stay that way for a long time. He is the most mental physical and humble player. I know , William, how it is to really root for someone. I might even think that Rafa is worth that, but his court demeanor and play style are not pleasant to watch. He plays hard, he wins but that is not all that makes someone the GOAT. I am at the point of almost feeling badly for him. According to reports-the press, announcers- he has superstitions and obsessions that would seem hard to live with.
Everyone should have someone rooting for them . Good for you that you love Rafa, but have some openness for why Federer has as many fans as he has.

Roger's style, grace, skill are the reasons I watch tennis. It is disappointing to see him almost lose interest at the end of some games. Tennis seems to love Rafa and those that run the sport are afraid to address the issue of doping which is desperately needed for an EQUAL playing field. Rafa is the Bull for a reason. He does have boundless energy, strong upper body, a snear of aggression when playing, some thinning hair at the crown(noticed at US Open)and tendon problems. These can all be signs of steroid use. You wonder what a grown man is doing pulling at his butt, smelling it and then cleaning his hands in his hair. The competition in tennis is what makes the game a spectator sport so there should be a Rafa(a clean one) and a Novak and everyon else coming along.

There's a season for each and every professisonal tennis player. Pete Samprss had his season in the 90's and ended it with a bang in 2002: Roger has and still is enjoying his seaon-maybe not the number 1 for the present time, but his long years of staying number 1 proved that he has his season. Now Rafa's season is emerging. Presently he is the number 1 player and of course he has to work hard to stay on the top. And he should take care of himself and hopefully be injury free to attain his goal to win more majors and surpass Roger's record- as Roger did with Sampras's record. No one will ever stay forever as number one- so Roger had his turn. It is now time for other players to step up and be in that position. It is not because one is greater that the othe players. Anybody who is in the top eight spot, or any other professional can dream to be in the number 1 spot and right now- congratulations to Rafa for being on the top. He needs to enjoy every minute of it , because no one will stay in that spot forever. To the fans- let us all give them our wholehearted support- instead of posting mean and nasty comments on the tennis board. We are all lucky we are now living in this world where there are two great players-Rafa and Roger playing for us the teenis fans to enjoy. We need to appreciate their effort- whether in defeat or in victory.There's no permanency in life. Sometime you are up, sometimes you are down- that's life and that's also applicable to tennis. Sometimes you are up, sometimes you are in the middle and other times you are down. Look at Pete Samoras- his ranking went down so low after his last Championship Match in Wimbledon in 2000. But what happened in the U.S Open Match 2002- he won his 14th Grand Slam Title- then he retired on a very high and positive note. He must have been so devasted in the late 2000, the whole season in 2001, but in 2002 he emerged again and ended winning his final Grand Slam Title. Roger will follow Pete's footsteps. He will aim for another two grand slam titles- then retire on a positive and high note. Good luck Roger and to Rafa too. be injury both of you as a new Tennis season is fast approaching 2011-TENNIS SEASON! . Only those who watch the game with their eyes and brains closed can agree to a fools comments as ROGER not winning another major.if you ever take a statistic of the number of people that watch this game,by people, i mean the intelligent,matured and educated minds that watch the game,a huge number of them do so becos of the style that ROGER has brought to the game.this was well seen in the last open with the number of stars and elites that came solely to watch Mr FEDERER at the us open.the players box was always lacking space and so was the VIP box. Not Nadal or even the american players can command that effect....Not to mention the Tweener Effect in the whole world outside tennis...You don't need to be a hater to appreciate when one is simply GREAT.

I won't watch Nadal, talk about boring. He takes too long between point's, makes everyone wait, and is more interested in his stupid water bottles then coming to the net to get the game started. I use to like him off the court, but not even that any more. He confessed on the coaching thing and has cheated soooooooooo many times. If you have to cheat to win, whats the point???????????? Williams above is a very rude person. Plenty of players have played passed their thirties. Roger is by no means washed up. He has good manners on the court and because he doesn't stomp. throw, break tennis racquets, I guess he is not doing good now. Roger is still number one in my book. Rafae is playing really good tennis too, and shows a good attitude on court as well. The top three in the world are worth their spots. They all do a good job, but Roger just has this air about him that the other two do not.

I agree w/ Hhawkeyes! Novak has been playing very well. And I did put my bet($100) on him beating Fedex. I also wanted him to win. And he can if he have a clear mind and not getting down on himself! He needs to get out to a quick start against Nadal, especially "Matador" Nadal!!!

I disagree with you both of you guys, Novak Djokovic came into the open playing some of his best tennis in my point of view. Sure he was playing awfully in the tournaments leading up to the open, but I believe he will upset Federer tonight, and win his second slam tomorrow.

I find mens tennis so boring to watch. The outcomes are very predictable and the points are too short. There are very few tactics involved in the mens game compared to when John Mcenroe played. I now prefer to watch the womens game because they still work the point.

Nadal is the hottest player on the circuit right now. He is in really good physical shape and works hard for every point. His goal is to win the open and I think with his attitude his chances are really good. I hope to see a playoff between Roger and Rafa. The last one I saw was dynamic.

My husband and I always look so forward to watching tennis, like some people love to watch football, basketball, or baseball. There are so many great players out there now, but Roger will always be our favorite. He has such class and respect for his fellow tennis players. He will without a doubt win more grand slams. He is playing like he played 2 years ago, and shows no signs of being done. Roger Federer will certainly win more majors if he continues to play like he has been playing of late. It is a great pleasure to watch him play, especially when he beats his opponents in the top 10. In the ATP Finals he seemed to be a cut above everyone else: no one even came close to challenging him. What a joy it was to watch! Allez, Roger!

I was so happy to see NADAL get his "BUTT" kicked by Federer yesterday. When he plays Roger is the only time I can stand to watch him play, even then I leave the room when he serves. It takes him a minute just to pick at his underware at least 2 times sometimes 3, and then the robot motion just to get the point started. After the point is started then I come back in to watch the point. My point being is, He is disgusting in his manners on court. They are saying his match with Andy Murray is going to be a classic. OMG, 3 hrs of watching him pick at his butt is not fun to watch for 5 minutes let alone 3 hrs of it. His matches are way too long, yes he has some great shot making abilities, but that is about all, You have to have more then good shot making to be the # 1 player in the world, LIKE CLASS, witch he has none of. I know as a mother I would at least take him a side and tell him that is not a pretty sight, son, so do something about it. Yesterday after the point was over the camera went on him and he was digging at his butt walking back to the line. I just screamed, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? RF and Rafa MET 20 Times roger lead 3to 2 on the hard court and 3 to 2 on the grass and all the others times on the clay which RF only won 1 time and which makes rafa the best clay court player of all times, but as a whole and finesses and elegancy and shots making and grace no one like federer . how he serves hits moves like riding on clouds . perfect serve vollies , smartness . rafa like uFC fighters , they all on pills no art no nothing just people kicking each others like animals and im 99/100 rafa takes performance enhancing drugs and most do, but not federer . Let me first note by saying that I am, always have been, and always will be a Federer fan. I am sick and tired of the discussion about whether Federer is the greatest tennis player of all time considering that he has a losing record against Rafael Nadal. Let me pose a question. Who is always looking to his coaching box for guidance, uses injury timeouts to throw off his opponents' timing and rythm (spelling) when he is losing, and his coach has been accused of coaching during a match?

The most important point to note is that Federer has done more to change the nature of the game of tennis than any other player today. It is ironic that Federer has helped to produce such a player as Nadal.
Federer is without a doubt the greatest player of all time. No one will ever beat his record of 23 consecutive grand slam finals- winning 16 of them. He was number one for four years in a row! It's very doubtful that anyone else will ever come close to those records. He's a magician with a tennis racket, and continues to be a class act, and a thing of beauty to watch. I'm a mojor Federer fan forever! I hope he wins several more grand slams.
I agree with all of you about the commentators, they drive me crazy. Why can't they just call the match, but it is the same in all the other sports too. Football they are even worse, I think, maybe not. The ones that are on the singles matches never shut up, but boy did Roger play well today. It was beautiful to see. Murray forgot to show up also, but even so Roger could have beat anybody today, he was spot on. Loved it.

I have subscribed to Tennis Channel for a number of years, and several months ago commented on the irritating commentaries that occur during a match, something the British commentators don't do while play is in progress. Shira(?) today, Nov. 22,'10 with Arias did nothing but talk during the entire Federrer/Murray game about ancient history tennis players, totally ignoring the game we were watching! I tried to turn off the volume, but then I miss the full effect of the action on screen, the calls, the sounds of the crowd, etc. This is EXTREMELY UPSETTING TO ME! The comments on ancient tennis history are interesting, but NOT during a match they themselves should be watching! John MacEnroe does the same. PLEASE! LET YOUR CUSTOMERS SEE THE GAME THEY PAY YOU TO SHOW WITHOUT THE INNANE TALK FROM YOUR COMMENTATORS! Arias did fine until he started working with Shira on Nov 22. Shira was there on the 21st as well, but he managed to limit his conversation considerably. Not so on the 22nd!! PLEASE! Let us see the matches we pay you to show without being talked to death about things not even on the screen which occurred YEARS AGO!!!!!!
I am a big big tennis fan. I watched Nadal Roddick match today and I have never in my life seen such a long, boring, disgusting match in my life. I can't tell witch is worse, Nadal picking his butt or Roddick grabbing at his crotch the whole match. I just don't get it People have to had told them before they are on national TV, do they not care. This is why Roger is such a class act. He doesn't celebrate and has a little respect for the person on the other side of the net, just to name a few. Nadal is disgusting, that is the only word I can write on this site that discribes him. I used to respect Roger Federer but I think he has become the most self absored player and person I have seen as of late. Rafa changed the game at such a young age and accomplished so much at only 24. No one can say that about Roger. I think it is time for Roger to retire. Federer is too arrogant...when interviewed last year he said he had 4 or more Grand Slam titles in him. You have to be more humble, especially when there are a few up and cooming and he is going.......

Roger's style, grace, skill are the reasons I watch tennis. It is disappointing to see him almost lose interest at the end of some games. Tennis seems to love Rafa and those that run the sport are afraid to address the issue of doping which is desperately needed for an EQUAL playing field. Rafa is the Bull for a reason. He does have boundless energy, strong upper body, a snear of aggression when playing, some thinning hair at the crown(noticed at US Open)and tendon problems. These can all be signs of steroid use. You wonder what a grown man is doing pulling at his butt, smelling it and then cleaning his hands in his hair. The competition in tennis is what makes the game a spectator sport so there should be a Rafa(a clean one) and a Novak and everyon else coming along.

There's a season for each and every professisonal tennis player. Pete Samprss had his season in the 90's and ended it with a bang in 2002: Roger has and still is enjoying his seaon-maybe not the number 1 for the present time, but his long years of staying number 1 proved that he has his season. Now Rafa's season is emerging. Presently he is the number 1 player and of course he has to work hard to stay on the top. And he should take care of himself and hopefully be injury free to attain his goal to win more majors and surpass Roger's record- as Roger did with Sampras's record. No one will ever stay forever as number one- so Roger had his turn. It is now time for other players to step up and be in that position. It is not because one is greater that the othe players. Anybody who is in the top eight spot, or any other professional can dream to be in the number 1 spot and right now- congratulations to Rafa for being on the top. He needs to enjoy every minute of it , because no one will stay in that spot forever. To the fans- let us all give them our wholehearted support- instead of posting mean and nasty comments on the tennis board. We are all lucky we are now living in this world where there are two great players-Rafa and Roger playing for us the teenis fans to enjoy. But what happened in the U.S Open Match 2002- he won his 14th Grand Slam Title- then he retired on a very high and positive note. He must have been so devasted in the late 2000, the whole season in 2001, but in 2002 he emerged again and ended winning his final Grand Slam Title. Roger will follow Pete's footsteps. He will aim for another two grand slam titles- then retire on a positive and high note. He has good manners on the court and because he doesn't stomp. throw, break tennis racquets, I guess he is not doing good now. Roger is still number one in my book. Rafae is playing really good tennis too, and shows a good attitude on court as well. The top three in the world are worth their spots. They all do a good job, but Roger just has this air about him that the other two do not.

I agree w/ Hhawkeyes! Novak has been playing very well. And I did put my bet($100) on him beating Fedex. I also wanted him to win. And he can if he have a clear mind and not getting down on himself! He needs to get out to a quick start against Nadal, especially "Matador" Nadal!!!
I disagree with you both of you guys, Novak Djokovic came into the open playing some of his best tennis in my point of view. Sure he was playing awfully in the tournaments leading up to the open, but I believe he will upset Federer tonight, and win his second slam tomorrow.

I find mens tennis so boring to watch. The outcomes are very predictable and the points are too short. There are very few tactics involved in the mens game compared to when John Mcenroe played. I now prefer to watch the womens game because they still work the point.
Nadal is the hottest player on the circuit right now. He is in really good physical shape and works hard for every point. His goal is to win the open and I think with his attitude his chances are really good. I hope to see a playoff between Roger and Rafa. The last one I saw was dynamic.
