It's simple: Oracle needs to drop staff and increase profits through the one trick known to work: layoff staff to make things look real good on paper (for stockholders) while effectively destroying morale (internally). Good luck with that.

Another buzz is Hurd was forced to resign from HP after he admitted to a lapse in judgment about his relationship with a former HP marketing contractor. The contractor sued Hurd for sexual harassment, and the suit was settled out of court. But the investigation into the matter turned up lapses that led to Hurd’s resignation.

Whatever the reason may be, one must agree to that Mark Hurd appointment as co-president will definitely boost Oracle as Mark will bring in all his trade secret from HP which will be beneficial to oracle
