Do the Virginity Hit billboards cross the line?

Talk about a 180 degree turnabout!

Used to be virginity was a prerequisite for marriage, and a virtue. Now it's it's something we MUST remove, or it's a stain.

Maybe here's the problem: we laid morality and ethics all over this natural function, while our culture makes it wiser to get married later in life than for our forefathers. Our bodies are ready to reproduce in adolescence, but marriage and family responsibilities are best taken on, in general, 10-20 years later.

How about we remove the "stain" of both ends of the spectrum?

I do believe it not not okay to put up cause a lot of ppl get the wrong thing in them to have sex with anybody cause being a virgin is "wrong" cause he or she is not an expert on the sex thing ...like it's not just chicks but dudes as well!!and i mean yea when i was in high sc. i was so like man it sounds fun and all and it can be but there is so much to hear about it in school that u know it's kinda for fun on a billboard. But to the wrong person it could go bad u know? there are kids every where so it's not where u put them u know?

I had many friends who lost their virginity in high school. I waited until I was married. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin, and signs like these give the impression that if you are a virgin there's something wrong with you. This sex culture is being perpetuated by african-american "artists" and their "music". Every song by a black artist is about sex. Then people wonder why the black community has skyrocketing numbers of people with std's and women with 5 or 6 kids by 5 or 6 men. The white community deals with it as well, but not in such high numbers. Most people that think these billboards are ok don't have kids. I have two children. I'm not saying that I want them to be virgins forever or even until they get married, but I do want them to respect sex for what it is supposed to be and for the consequences and/or responsibilities that come with it.

Your five year old daughter will eventually no longer be a virgin anytime in the future, so just tell her that it is nothing that important for her to know right now. Tinkerbell is horrible, btw...

Try explaining what the billboard means to your five year old daughter when you're on your way to see the new Tinkerbell movie.
