Do You Work At A Standing Desk?

I'm a flight attendant, so I get to stand all the time. Whenever I have to go to training or otherwise have to sit for a long time I get very stiff, so I would use a standing desk if I worked in an office.

I usually go for a standing desktop after taking my lunch and dinner but most of the time, I prefer sitting on a chair, or on a high chair whenever I do my computer works.

There are people like me with knee problems who can't stand for long periods at a time. Sitting is less strenuous on my knees, but even then I have to periodically walk to keep my knees from getting sore. When I lecture I find myself in constant motion, which I hope doesn't distract my students. So standing at one's workplace doesn't work for everyone.

I go back and forth from sitting to standing. I had to fashion a make shift box system to place my computer on so I could do that. You'd think someone would make some sort of desktop hydraulic system for this, but I haven't found one yet.

When I get tired of sitting I stand and work. When I get tired of standing I sit and work. When I can't stay awake I stand and work.

I have a standing desk and a sitting desk in an L-shape. The standing desk has my monitors and keyboard, sitting is just a flat surface. I mostly work standing up, but use my sitting desk for reading or working with hard-copies of documents. I have a standard desk chair that I raise to the highest level if I want to sit for a bit at my standing desk. Since converting, I toss and turn less as I go to sleep and I have more energy overall.
