According to a science project, cigarrette smoke actually makes plants stonger, greener, and work better and faster as air quality and oxygen producing facets of our environment. Although, to some, smoking looks "un-sexy", but based on science... it's moer beneficial to the plants than humans... people aren't going to stop smoking.
For those who force thier perceptions on others, at minimum set designated smoking areas within parks (and watch how trees are taller, bushes are greener, and flowers bloom larger). The day we regulate smoking in PUBLIC is a day we regulate away one more free choice.
I smoked for over 50 years and quit on my own, cold turkey. I quit at 65 which was over 6 years ago. It was the inconveniences pressed upon me by regulation that caused me to quit...and saved my life! I say yes, as unpleasant as it might be for some people, do it !

Let people smoke in the parks, but ban private automobiles within city limits. That's proportional to the harm each "addiction" causes.

Go for a ban, or have a designated smoking area that's far from the people's way.
