Who should be ranked No. 1?

I also live in Columbus, and agree 100% that Ohio State has yet to really prove anything. Yeah, they look good, but help me understand this: Alabama is ranked #1, and played the #10 team on the road yesterday. Had they lost by 1 point, then Ohio State would have been #1, having played yet another game in their home field, beating yet another junior college team. Help me understand how strength of schedule is not considered in these polls.

Certainly not the teams that are playing other teams weaker than your little sister. Like Nebraska, who played W.Kentucky, who hasn't won a game in I don't know how long. They also played Idaho and now, give me a break, S. Dakota St. (who?) These teams should go down in ranking, not up. This kind of a weak schedule should not be allowed, it is ridiculous. Nebraska should be ranked down in the 20's, as well as any other team with weak schedules.

Clearly Alabama should be ranked number on. I'm not sure about number 2. Boise State has been tested, but I don't know about Ohio State (aka Football University). We won't know how good they are until they get out of the "shoe" and play someone that has credibility. Living in Columbus, as I do, it is tiring to see them playing Junior High teams and running up the score to promote the QB for the Heisman Trophy. He is good, but anyone would be, playing against low level competition. Of course one must also consider the campaign by the coach to be "Coach of the year".
