Both BE and Platt have high powered offense's. Both are undefeated. It'll be shootout!!! Platt was a beast last week. BE was a 10 point underdog last week and the game was over a halftime 42-7. NFA/Griswold Game the only way to go and I will put NFA's Wildcat Marching Band against Hand's any day. Loud, Proud and Marching Tall Nobody sounds better playing in the Stands and on the Field. Besides ours is a two day event Fantastic Fanatical Football(Only HighSchool I know with a Bigger Alumni Tailgate party than most Colleges) and a Marching Band Festival on Saturday with a Surprise Guest Marching Band. WILDCAT PRIDE!!!!!
Vote Platt vs. Bristol E. Should be a fantastic game. Come see one of the best young Q.B.'S in the state. John Marks has around 300 passing yards already. Platt has a great offensive line and dynamic recievers. And dont forget about that speedy defense.

Break up their undefeated records? We are two games into the season, saying that somebody is undefeated does not mean anything right now. The place to be on Friday night is at the turf at the Norwich Free Academy. Not only is this NFA's only night game of the year, but this is a game for ultimate respect. NFA has always been the projected winner in this match up ever since the first game was played, but in each of the last four appearances that Griswold has made against NFA, NFA has fallen. The tensions of the players, coaches, and fans are sky high. Last year, NFA had record ticket sales for their night game against Waterford. If you do not show up to the academy early on Friday, you will not get a seat. NFA will be matched tough, but with their momentum from their cinderella win against Ledyard, NFA should pull out the W

The Amity vs. Hand game will provide a taste of how tough and exciting the SCC is. Hand is quietly sitting 2-0 so far in the SCC Div I and Class L. Their pre-season scrimmages had them killing Central who is for some reason in the coaches top 10. Hand played even with Berlin who is in the top 10 as well. Hand has a lethal spread offense and killer bees on defense. Hand has to go through the meat grinder of the SCC: Cheshire, ND, West Haven and Hamden. That is a playoff schedule during the regular season. All of the other schools nominated play no where near a schedule as tough as Hand's. I have reviewed all of the other schools nominated and their conferences are pretty weak. Hand beat Fairfield Prep who handily whooped up on Griswold for Prep's first win in two years! Ansonia's program is down this year and Platt was crushed by Lyman Hall who Hand just pasted. Hand scored 41 points in the first half and could have scored 41 more. The coach was kind enough to play the backups the whole 2nd half and told them not to score. The game will be another war on the shore at the Surf Club. Great setting, great football and great Hand tradition. Go Tigers.

Total shut down the kid is amazing. He's already has a little over 200 yards recieving. One of Platts key players. Definitely HAND vs. AMITY!! For several reasons.. Hand has the best coaching staff in Ct., Friday night football at Hand's Strong field is always packed with great fans, the booming if Hand's marching band gives everybody a charge, every youth player wears his Madison Jersey to show that he is a future player at Hand and oh yeah, the field is a pooch punt from the Long Island Sound! How cool is that? Amity and Hand will play each other very hard and I anticipate watching great H.S. football game. Seeing the many Championship banner flags sailing over the home team stands reminds us how strong the Pride & Tradition continues to be for Madison Football. I am sure Amity is excited to come here and try to knock us off. That makes for a physical and exciting game. Plus who knows if the proposed new Strong Center Stadium will be erected soon? Could be the last game of the week for NBC at Hands original field for 40 years. Come on NBC! Amity vs. Hand is your game of the week, Gabeesh?
