Was the booing on last night's 'Dancing With the Stars' inappropriate?

Sarah Palin says she is out there" fightin' to protect the constitution". Part of what she is fighting for is freedom of speech. People are free to cheer or not cheer for whom ever they choose--Sarah Palin included. Free to boo in the U.S A.!

Sarah Palin is ignorant and has highjacked the spotlight to spew her ignorant, right wing hate speech.

It is obvious she resigned as governor to cash in and it is amazing and sad everyone can't see that simple fact.

She will say and do anything to keep her tiny celebrity light glowing, to keep cashing in and taking advantage of the national stage.

Why is Bristol on DWTS, she's not a celebrity, she can't dance. next season will we see more teenage unwed mother's given the opportunity to earn big bucks. WTF, this country is sick, wasting time on the Palin's... I decided not to watch the show this season and more people should do the same, then maybe nextseason politics will be left out of the decision making process

Sarah Palin deserve to be boed. She has a superiority complex and she thinks that she alone should be allowed to hurt others with harsh, cruel words

  • Mike - 14 years ago

She has that cold "I don't care what you think", look in her eye and I don't think she does. She's making $$$ at what she does and that's all she cares about.

I'm not a Liberal, I cannot stand the lying, deceiving hag from hell! Sarah Palin is the reincarnation of Hitler! Put a mustache on her an you'll see.

  • Peter - 14 years ago

It's a free country, boo all you want. Don't want people to boo? Don't bring someone the majority of the country hates onto the show.

  • Bobo - 14 years ago

    All Liberals suck btw.

  • lm - 14 years ago

Yes, they were booing her! And I was booing along with them. She is a HAG from hell.

  • Carp - 14 years ago

DWTS evidently wanted politics in since the Palilns are only about the. It's not Bristol's fault she was a drunken slut in high school. I put the blame on her mother and father, so yes her mother needs to be booed.

They were not booing Sarah Palin, they were booing the scores. Stop making something out of nothing, but that is the media for you.

The reason Sarah Palin was there in the first place was to plug Sarah Palin. Her "CULT OF PERSONALITY", disgusts people who don't like her.(I'M ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE) She wasn't there to support her daughter. If she was, she wouldn't have agreed to the DOG AND PONY SHOW that made this ca-ca de toro possible...She made the bed...SLEEP IN IT...

I don't think that people would have had a problem with Sarah being there if she was expected to shut her mouth and just watch and silentlhy support her daughter. I think people had a problem with showing her home in Alaska, and giving her a chance to talk... I didn't understand the need to give her an interview. Most people do not like this woman, and for good reason. She is a brainless and divisive hag, she has called out president vile names and thinks that women do not own their bodies or should have choices. For those reasons and more she should have supported Bristol from afar. The Hollywood liberal elite crowd who she has also shown distain for obviously doesn't like her either. Go figure!

Lame stunt by DWTS. They got what they deserved, just like Palin. It was their decision to inject a highly divisive figure into the show's format, and it wasn't fair to the rest of the contestants. Would someone please tell ALL the Palins that their 15 minutes of fame are up?

  • Gaylon Monteverde - 14 years ago

Bristol Palin is not "A Star". She is the only contestant competing strictly because of who her mother is.
And, as usual, her mother is exploiting her daughter for her own political gain. Who is The Situation's mother?
Were any other mothers in the audience? Why weren't other mothers interviewed? Maybe they are Democrats!

  • lm - 14 years ago

Are you crazy! She is the biggest liar in Alaska. She is so freaking rude and disgusting and I'm ashamed to be human if Sarah Palin is considered to be one. Her middle name is RUDE!

  • Jon Quierane - 14 years ago

The booing was rude and ignorant beyond belief. The people who did it and the people who support it should be sent to a basic class in manners.

  • LM - 14 years ago

    Sarah Palin sucks!

She is a pimple on my ---

  • jon - 14 years ago

Of course people can boo her, they can boo whoever they want! It's called freedom of speech and that's exactly why she gets booed, she uses her freedom of speech to lie and manipulate people.

  • Mac - 14 years ago

Hey, if a sitting congressman can yell an insinuation at the US president during the president’s address to congress that he is a liar, and Palin can call the US president a friend of terrorists along with many other unfounded statements, than let the booing be heard. She chose to appear before that non-FOXfriendly audience, tuff for her if she was booed.

  • icarust - 14 years ago

Palin and her daughter are only reaping what they sow. Both think and act like they are queens in their little bubbles. They are both manipulative bullies and need a much bigger reality check - maybe they'll stop being so petty and mean, but I doubt it.

  • stacy - 14 years ago

You can disagree with somene with out being disagreeable. If she was discussing a political point with which the crowd disagreed, then boo. But booing her as a person there to support her daughter is rude and disrespectful. I don't care what your political views are, people are people. Does she get some publicity from it which may help her campaign, yes. But that doesn't detract from the fact that she is a mom and her dauhter is competing.

  • Grant - 14 years ago

You can boo whatever or whoever you want to boo. She deserves everything that she gets and more. DWTS sucks and so does Palin, good match.

  • Sally Sasser - 14 years ago

There are so many other reasons to boo Palin besides politics you know.

But hey, the show knew she was one of the most divisive people around and chose to showcase her anyway -- in a cheap ploy for 'controversy' and ratings. Does anyone actually think the show's producers or even Palin care at all about the appropriateness of people's reactions? It's all about the ratings and the press they will get from the stunt. For both of them.

  • The Gorn - 14 years ago

You might want to keep politics out, but the only reason why Bristol is in is because of politics.

  • janis - 14 years ago

If you want to keep politics out of DWTS, and I do, then don't have a lightening rod for politics
a "guest commentator" stupid move by DWTS.
