Undercovers, Thw Whole Truth, and Outlaw need to be given time to find an audience. Stop being so impatient!!

As a member of the media, I see the problem as being the hot and cold dance of promotions and reviews. Networks over hype every new entry to levels it cannot attain. On the other end of the scale, pundits write off shows even before many in the audience get a chance to sample them. With the unique situation of all networks premiering shows on the same week, the average viewer can't possible check everything out before the pink slips start to arrive.

Case in point; I watch more television than the average viewer. I have two PVRs, which means I can record four shows at a time. I had recorded "Lonestar," along with just about everything else to sample what is out there, however because I have so much viewing to do, I hadn't watched the FOX show yet.

But now that it has been canceled, I just simply erased the two episodes I had. What's the point in watching them? Now it's quite possible that I would have watched it, loved it, and made it appointment TV, but who will ever know now? How many people, who either don't or can't watch the amount of TV I do fall into that category?

Networks have to give audiences a breather so they can find the shows, especially if they are in a competitive time slot. Network executives have to have a bit more of a "gut check" rather than simply going by the numbers. If you felt strongly enough to green light a project, put it on the air, and promote it, then why not have a bit of a backbone to say, "let's give this one a bit more of a chance?"

    Just an observation,
