Ball was down, in the end zone - CHEAP SHOT. Easy Call.

very cheap shot, should not be part of the game, he should be fined and suspened, especially after the comment he would do it again. It would indicate he is more interested in hurting players rather then making a plays...

I'm a HUGE Browns fan, and even I think that was hit was uncalled for. T.J. Ward is a "professional" football player, and I've read people saying it's part of the game? That's BULL$h!T!!! Being a "professional" football player he should know when to hit a WR when he has POSESSION of the ball. That ball was clearly not completed, and even some Browns defenders were like "WTF"??? It's hits like the one on Sunday that could have cost us the damn game. He hit Shipley so hard, after the ball was dead mind you, that he was done for the game with a concussion! I watched the play several times, and it sickens me. HEY T.J., DON'T MAKE THE BROWNS LOOK BAD, reputation wise, AND APOLOGIZE FOR THAT HIT! DON'T BE A STUBORN DICK HEAD!!! BE A MAN AND ADMIT YOUR WRONGS!!! I'm not saying he meant to do it, he made a huge error in judgment, just FU**ING ADMIT TO IT!! "I'd do it again"...even after the fact, and you know what you did to him? WOW, NICE!!! Way to be a douche.

It was a cheap shot no question. It goes to show that even though ward is supposedly a "professional" and making a lot of money, it doesn't change the fact that he's a low life thug with no class. I would expect him to do it again just like he said he would. That is the typical mentality of someone of his background, "I didn't do nothin' wrong!"

i see that many bloggers are posting comments that Ward led with his shoulder,,, several even expressed that the contact was shoulder to shoulder. I have viewed this video on many forums and played it back frame by frame. Ward clearly made contact helmut to helmut,,, his shoulder impacted Jordan Shipley in his upper middle chest first and Ward followed through the impact driving his shoulder pushing up into Shipleys neck with last contact being made to the underside of Shipleys chin. Those are the fact, weather it was intentional or not, and I think anyone leaving ignorant comments blindley without knowing all the facts are complete morons...

Hummm, let's see - Ward was called for a personal foul yet more than half the people voting so far think this is part of the game. Apparently, most people don't know the difference between modern sports and the games held in the Colosseum.

How can this even be considered a dirty hit? It was shoulder to shoulder. It was also not late. From the angle Ward had he had no way of knowing if the ball already came out. Just because someone gets hit hard does not make it dirty.

It's funny how Hines Ward can do it and it's legal, but a DB does it and it's not.

The Bengals were also flagged earlier in the game for a hit on a "defenseless" receiver on Ben Watson. I'm a Browns fan and I thought that was a rediculous call, just like Wards hit on Shipley

Cheap shot? Part of the game? Where is the option to vote: CLEAN HIT!

Palmer should blame himself for throwing into a zone where guys are flying in multiple directions looking to ring your bell.
