I agree, Rando has helped Boston by pacing them with solid play starting off games, but you can not dispute that the triple doubles are aided by the talent surrounding him. I'm seen numerous games where Rose made perfect passes to wide open players just to watch them miss, night after night. Rando is passing to one of the deadliest shooters in NBA History in Allen; a legit low post threat with as equal a deadly shot from 15 feet in Garnett; and one of the best finishers in the game in Pierce. This helps to average double digit assists. As for the rebounds, Rando is able to play off of his man when shots go up on defense or offense because the Celtics are big up front and rebound well, teams are forced to try to crash the boards leaving Rando in position to snag boards while everyone else is battling. I promise, I just can not knock Rando, he's a good player, but you would get no worse from Derrick if he played for Boston; you would get worse out of Rando if he had to play for the Bulls.

All three guys are really good, that isn't the issue, we all fell for this stupid poll. I had voted to extend Rondo, trade Rose, and unfortunately cut Westbrook. Rondo's not just good, because he plays with the big three, sure it helps, but what happened to all the people who say the Celtics are too old, you hear it all the time, but when it's convenient they're remembered as three great allstar players, "the big three". If you actually watched the playoffs, it was Rondo who kinda carried the team in the earlier rounds, because the big three were not playing well. Anyways, Rondo leads these PG's in triple doubles, and steals. He's not a great shooter, but he has a high basketball IQ, and he's a true PG leader. Rose is pretty damn good, but someone made a comment that he's with a weak ass team so maybe he should be traded to a better team. Rose has a role to score on the Bulls team so you can't blame him for being a ball hog. Westbrook is probably the most athletic out of the three. I like watching the Thunder team, they're an exciting young team to watch. I just feel that since I decided to participate in this almost obnoxious poll that it had to be Westbrook just because someone had to be cut, and his ball handling is not as good as Rondo, and Rose.

Rando has the nasty D & although he doesn't average more in poinst, his assists is a direct indication of his impact on a game. Westbrook equally has the same talent; averages less assists but balances it out with more scoring. Ultimate difference between the 3 is the talent that surrounds these other 2 PG's. Rose is not a better on the ball defender than Rando and Westbrook plays better passing lane defense; but Rose's speed and ups allow him to recover and disrupt shots at the rim. Rose definitely doesn't have the talent surrounding him that these other 2 PG's do; so when you read that he could average 10, that's true. An assist is predicated on the person being fed the ball to successfully make the shot. Rose had no one consistently complete plays that he set up for his team mates. Rando and Westbrook have more finishers surrounding them (inside posters and outside shooters). The impact of Rando or Westbrook disappearing for a night is not necessarily a loss for their perspective teams; the same can not be said for Rose. The ultimate differece between the 3 is their responsibilities and impacts for their respective teams. Put Rose on their teams, you get the same type of play out of Rose as you get out of Rando or Westbrook; can the same be said of Westbrook or Rando if they were playing for the Bulls? We KNOW what Rose is doing without equal talent around him; would the other 2 do as well in his position? Time will tell, but in the mean time, you give a tad bit more credence to Rose because his numbers are solid without any help; give him some top to bottom talent as the other 2 have, then base final judgment on all 3.

Rose avg 27 ppg and 7 ast in the playoffs vs the Cavs in his 2nd year with defense geared toward shutting him down. Westbrook has the best scorer in the NBA on his team which significantly upped his apg avg. He avg 20.5 ppg and 6 apg in the playoffs in comparison even though defense weren't geared to stop him, but geared to stop Durant. And Rondo has perennial all stars surrounding him. They all are good Rondo bein the best defensively, but rose is the best talent.

Rose is NOT that great. He only avg 6 assists compared to 10 and 9 from the other 2? Only reason people can say hes better is because he avgs more points. He avg 20 only because the bulls have no one better at scoring so he has to carry the load. and whoever said he can avg 25 and 10 is delusional. My choice is to extend D.Rose, trade Rondo and cut Westbrook. Extend Rose, simply because he can do everything except 3's but he's workin' on that. Hey look I am a huge fan of all three but Westbrook outplayed Rose on the world championship team and Rondo was cut from Team USA on top of that. Looks like Westbrook has passed them.
