For me the least forgivable party foul is saying you are coming and not show up. Worse yet is to not call or email to let them know why. Bad manners are rampant today and I am not sure why we allow ourselves to be treated that why.

Paying more attention to your phone than the people at the party.

Worst party story ever: One of our landlords wanted to throw a birthday party/ going away party for her self, But not at her house. She asked if she could have the party at our house. Reluctently we said yes. She promised to come over and help clean before the party, she didn't. She also said she would come clean up after the party, she didn't. She invited a bunch of people we didn't know (we had over 100 people in and out of our house that night) But the icing on the cake was when she got into a fist fight in our back yard with one of the guest that she invited! She told the guest to leave, but since the girl was too intoxicated to drive and had no ride, she went to sit on the curb on the corner of our property. When the landlord found out the girl was still on the property, she went over and tried to start up the fight again. Needless to say, we will NEVER host a party for anyone again. Expecialy for some one who acts like that.

If I have to bring a gift...it sounds like a boring party. More like a chore...

The easiest way to be univited is being rude to other guests. For the sake of the host(ess), leave all excessive sarcasm, bad days & personal drama at the door. No one should have to spend the party teaching you good manners.

Most serious party foul is bringing cheap warm beer, so the bringer drinks the good stuff which is already cold, and then takes home the warm beer he brought for next time.
