I voted for Connor because he doesn't just jump on a bandwagon and spew rhetoric. He actually researches his positions very well and measures them against a static set of principles. His writing is also easy to read and interesting. He sources his information very well.

it would have been nice if whoever created this list hyperlinked to the bloggers....

  • Rachel - 14 years ago

I voted for Connor because he is the best blogger. His writings are insightful and he is a wealth of knowledge. He is also right about most everything he says! I thought his offer to give away the prize showed that he was not letting us know about the poll for personal gain. I hope his showing here leads other people to read his blog because it is very enlightening.

Even if it gives the impression that you are buying a vote, it shouldn't be done........better to give the money to a favorite charity.........

  • Mike - 14 years ago

Conner Boyack thought it would be cool to spam me with a request to vote for him.

So, I took the time to come over and vote for somebody else.

  • John Potter - 14 years ago

    I voted.

    For the contestants consideration, http://bit.ly/c1x0CG

A more unified voice could change the world.

Hrmm, I am related to Holly and have known Connor since he was a wee laddy... decisions, decisions.

  • Jacqueline Smith - 14 years ago

I voted. And it's a close race between Holly and Connor. I like them both. I would have voted for myself, but I guess I'm not big enough to be considered yet. Come see my blog, too at http://www.theSTARforum.org STAR Stands for Save The American Republic. Go Connor and Holly.

Connor Boyack=Best Utah Blogger BY FAR. No comparison.

  • dcmarkham - 14 years ago

I'm a Utah expat who's been living overseas for a few years. I've been reading Connor's blog since 2007 and have always found his input on matters thoroughly engrossing, poignant, and even noble. While so many bloggers twist such a powerful technological tool to reach out to the world into either a bland recap of the mundane in their lives, or into a whiny rant-fest over the minuscule, Connor is one of the few bloggers in existence that truly desires to engage and challenge the mind of the reader with intellectually and morally stimulating subject matter; topics that demand to be considered and sincerely addressed given the current state of the world, yet are determinedly avoided by most due to "controversy," or the uneasiness that necessarily comes from stretching one's mind out of one's individual comfort-zone box. Because I'm living overseas, Connor's generosity in offering the prize he might win to be distributed among his readership has absolutely no influence on either my vote or these comments.

  • Jake - 14 years ago

I voted for Connor since he takes Utah blogging to higher intellectual and more controversial standard. His is a analytical and entertaining voice that is CRUCIAL to waking Utahns up to important issues.

  • Justin - 14 years ago

I voted for Connor because I participated on his blog prior to receiving his e-mail offer and have found topics there that always interest me. I don't think 41.6% of people care that much about a small chance of winning $50.

  • Connor - 14 years ago

An added incentive does not a bought vote make. :)

To clarify, though, I offered to give away whatever prize I might win to a randomly selected person who let me know they voted for me; I'm not giving $50 per vote.

  • OntheList - 14 years ago

I'm absolutely certain that none of the above endorsements were affected by Connor's offer of $50 for someone who votes for him. Buying votes in a lottery fashion is still buying votes.

  • Marc - 14 years ago

Oh yeah, Connor is the man when it comes to political insight and correct principles. Love his blog!

  • Rock Waterman - 14 years ago

I second Ralph's endorsement above, and for the same reasons.

  • Ralph Hughes - 14 years ago

I chose Connor Boyack because of his focus on the principles this country was founded upon, a subject very dear to my heart.
