I'm 21 and have been a fan of Miley since Hannah Montana! Why is it such a huge deal what she's doing with her life? Some of you need to take a look around and see that were not in the stone age anymore, this IS how kids are now a days it's not just Miley! She's in the spotlight every day under everybody's eyes, do you really think she can make everyone pleased with what she does! She's older now she shouldn't have to still make 4 year olds happy, there's new Disney kids that'll please your kids just as much! I'm completely satisfied with what Miley is doing I think it's amazing! She's talented an beautiful let her do and be whoever she wants to be! I'll always be her fan even when I do have children! I have two step children that are huge fans, an you know how easy it is to keep the negative stuff away from children??? Pretty easy, maybe you should keep a better eye on what your kids are watching and doing... Just saying!! Love you Miley!!!!!

Sorry my friend, but you lost all credibility when you started quoting the bible at me. I am all for people believing in whatever they want, but you still cannot prove your god's existence. No matter how much you believe. And your analogy is pointless. I would encourage people to experiment in life. That is what life is. To experience as much as one wants. Let me ask you this: how am I supposed to find a true connection with someone if I don't actually have a relationship with them? Sex is a part of the chemistry as well. We are far beyond the necessity for procreation at this point. If anything there are too many people and we should stop for a while. My point being that sex is enjoyable. It is natural. It is nothing to be afraid of.And raising our kids to believe that it is something dirty or wrong is a crime against humanity. You need to think before you speak. you come at me with you little bs analogy about a dress like that has any reference to anything. Your god must have forgot to give you a proper brain otherwise you'd understand that he/she/it wants you to live life, not in fear of what you don't understand, but with an open mind, understanding, and forgiveness. If people put less emphasis on religion and politics and more on common sense and common decency, we would have a much better and more peaceful world. And I'm not a liberal or a conservative. Don't drag me into your petty little political squabbles about nothing but telling other people how to live their lives while at the same time complaining about people telling you how to live your lives. All hail America! The Great Hypocrisy! I am ashamed to not only be a part of this country, but to even be a part of the human race at this particular point in time. Its not just the US, Its the whole world. Intelligent life my ass! Regardless. People have the right to live the way the choose whether it be stripping or becoming a priest, but either way it always comes down to the same damn thing: If you don't like something, you don't have to be a part of it, but don't you dare tell me that I can't. You don't have the right.

Actually Joe, it's Obama trying to take away your right to post just what you said. Do you have any children? Hollywood, the music industry, video games, magazines, etc...are steadly pushing sex down our children's throats, and that is why responsible parents protect their children from the smut of the entertainment industry. Where is this over protective America you talk about? The only ones that have become over protective are the thumb sucking liberals who don't want you to hurt their feelings if you say something agianst anything they think is right. The Bible talks about that in the last days the things God considers as wrong, that people would consider them as right. In other words their thinking is twisted. There are so many twisted thinkers in this world. Read the Bible. It is our Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. After all, when it's all said and done it will be Him who you will have to give an account for the way you lived. Sex is a beautiful thing between a man and a woman who are in love and married. My children were taught this by their father and myself.
I use this analogy with all females; If you buy a beautiful new dress for the prom with all of the lovely accessories, will you allow ten of your closest friends to wear it before you actually get to wear if to your senior prom? They all say no! I then reply then why would you allow ten boys to use your body before you find that one guy that you are head over hills in love with and want to marry? You would have more respect for a dress that means nothing then you would for your own body and self respect. One last thing, if you have a daughter or when you do, will it make you proud to see her dressed sluty, humping on a bed and dance pole for young boys, sex- crazed middle-aged men, and dirty old men to ogle and lust over?

Actually GiGi, I'm 26 and I'm just fed up with people like you that +cannot seem to differentiate from opinions and fact. The fact of the matter is: she can do whatever she pleases regardless of what you or over protective america thinks. You people don't even realize that this era of over protection and over thinking is absolutely taking away every last right and freedom that we have left. For christs sake, people are so afraid to say certain words for fear of not being "politically correct". Is this the kind of life you want to live? Where you can state your opinion, as long as those in power don't disagree with it... And you having the audacity to assume that I am a child because I think sex is natural and not some taboo that over protective america created is beyond ignorance. Maybe, just maybe, your kids have the wrong idea about sex because you are too afraid to talk to them about it. I know my parents were. I was left to figure things out on my own and believe me, I'm not the only one. Here is a of advice for those of you who think you know better than everyone else: YOU are the problem. You always have been and until you actually start to use your brain, you always will be the problem. I have to give my praise to the video game industry and the music industry for having the balls to do what they want in spite of people like you. TV and Movies have fallen, but we will get them back. Once again, kids don't learn bad behavior from entertainment. They act out because you don't know how to be parents. Well, some of you do, but the majority of you do not. So stop your bitching about how its everyone else's fault and take some god damn responsibility for your lack of parenting. And if I have offended anyone by my comments, good. Its the only way you people will learn.

I'll just bet that the 4 posters above are all between the ages of 14 and 16. They would be the only age group that would think this kind of behavior is okay. If she wasn't associated with Disney and didn't have fans as young as 4, then this wouldn't be so bad. But she built her fame off of the young (and yes, that includes the 14-16 year olds - because they are still children), and now she is telling them that it is acceptable to act like a whore. Let's face it - if in reality a 17-year-old acted the way she does in the video, that is EXACTLY what she would be considered to be.

  • anaa - 14 years ago

omfgoodness if people don't leave her ALONE! if you don't agree with what she's doing then you need to be a parent and intervene: STOP letting your kid watch her--seriously she can do whatever she wants her parents are watching her now watch your kids and sthu stop getting on your high horses. she's a "role model"? she SHOULDN'T BE! you should be as a PARENT! she's not forcing your child to watch her videos she has a right to "sexualize" herself people are so judgemental it's so ANNOYING. she's an ARTIST and she's not doing drugs, out there drinking etc. if she wants to sell more records by being more sexual then who cares. She's "every parents worst nightmare" --Dique (as if) that's pathetic on your part!

  • Joe Bologna - 14 years ago

First off, I should state that I don't really consider myself a fan of Miley's work. Its not really what I'm into, but I respect her as an artist. With that being said, I am completely for her having the right be as sexual or non sexual in her art as she wants. People don't seem to realize that this is ENTERTAINMENT. I think if parents don't want their kids watching this, well, that is just to damn bad because they will find a way to make it happen. I'm getting real tired of the same old parents blaming the entertainment industry for everything their children do wrong. Your kids depend on you, the parent, to help differentiate right from wrong, whether it be in life or entertainment. I watched a lot of blood, violence, and raw sexuality when i was growing up and guess what? I never became a serial killer. I never became a rapist. Never stole from anyone. We'll, you get the point. People, stop blaming everyone but yourselves for your lack of parenting. You cannot expect TV to raise your kids and then complain when you don't like the message. You, the overprotective parent of America, are the shining example of ignorance at its worst. I suggest you stop pointing your finger at every and any thing else and start putting the blame where it belongs: on yourself. Learn how to think and use your brain. Otherwise, don't have kids and save all of us form the headaches you cause us form your constant whining. If you had things your way, no one would ever have sex, tv would have nothing but after school specials, movies would, well modern movies suck anyways, but they would be more lame trust me! The world you are pushing for has no excitement and no thrill. Get over yourselves. There are a lot more people out here that don't agree with you. The difference is, we aren't forcing you to do anything while you insist that we adapt to your way of life through some BS morality nonsense. My ultimate advice: get a sense of humor. Maybe then you will be able to take the entertainment industry for what it was meant for.

shannen.i agree but miley shuld set an example for people who look up to her even though she can do whatever she wants... she still is an actress on disney channel who has boundaries

  • Shannen - 14 years ago

this is ridiculous, miley cyrus can do whatever she wants, you forget to mention she has fans from ages of 14+, girls and boys my age love her , little children dont have to watch it, and where do parents have the right to tell miley cyrus what to do,she is just doing what every other teenage girl is doing in the world, infact she is probally doing it more graciously than some.
    I LOVE MILEY
