Should the Vikings bench Favre

Coach Childress, you did not hesitate to bench Tarvaris Jackson for performances which were far superior than what we are seeing from this million dollar per game QB. Is that what it is? The money? How can you sit an overrated, overpaid, rented out ex-Packer QB whose are is now weaker than Chad Pennington's? Favre under threw Moss on every single deep ball but for the one which resulted in the Moss TD. He overthrew Percy when he was in a position to take us within field goal range. He missed a wide open Tahi who on a two point conversion whom he clearly saw was open. He forced the ball to Shiancoe resulting in a Pick 6, in much the same way that he killed our chances of going to the Super Bowl by trying to force the ball to Sidney, in the Championship game, and turning it over. This guy is radioactive, and we need to get rid of his country ass.

The older he gets - perhaps them more he will need to prove he still has it - look where this could go ..... exposing himself on the field desparate - with his phone number tatooed on his back .... jumping into the the arms of multimillion dollar players like Moss ... until there's an unfortunate injury ... proclaiming himself more knowledable than the coach ... if he were he would pull himself out !

the second half of the game against the jets was the best half of football this year. randy and brett connecting was great, and brett connecting with others was extremely effective. watch out dallas. here they come. and brett will be in the playoffs. a great player.

Vikings have won the same number of Super Bowls as me. All sorts of stories will come out about Brett... These 3 are the tip of the iceberg.

There's never been a scandal before he joined the Jets? His escapades in Green Bay were no secret and Deanna even wrote about them in her book. The Packers enabled him until they had enough of his narcissism. You haven't heard any denials from Brett. The Vikings franchise is at risk in Minnesota and, as a Packer fan, I do not want us to lose this great rivalry. Brett is all about Brett and won't quit willingly. He doesn't care about the Viking franchise. I would love to see everyone beat the tar out of him for the rest of this season. But, our area of the country has been devastated by the awful economy and losing an NFL franchise is unacceptable. So, Childress better start playing to win and that means benching Favre.

OMG, what are you smoking Florio? I have followed the Vikings since the early 70's and the team will not follow Jackson into a bar much less the endzone. His leadership abilities are nil. This guy will be out of football if released, at best he is a career backup. His pass technique repetroire is one dimensional, flat and fast. He panics and throws jump passes like an armadillo. Favre on his worst day can still lead the team.

Now is the time for Bret Favre to retire, He has the record he wanted - 500 TD passes. Only one to ever come near that. Nothing more to accomplish, no more challenges beyond just another win. The Vikings are not going to win this year's championship so set him down and let the new kid take over. It is his time.

Let me use this analogy. You're going to a big party(super Bowl). You just bought an old Bentley (Favre) to get you there in style. Last year, it ran fine, but this year, so far its been sputtering. Do you garage your expensive automobile and go to the party in your Ford Fairlane, or . . . as I prefer . . . do you stick with the old Bentley (whether it gets you to the party or not) as you roll down the highway of life and just appreciate that you are riding in a $20 million Bentley). Bottom line . . . you already spent the money. Just enjoy the ride. Nobody guaranteed you the destination, but at least you'll look good trying to get there.

Wow I dont agree w/switch but I do agree he not getting in done on the field.....last night typical brett and why nvr be top 5 QB..in the clutch its a automatic interception..now compare that to what brady peyton montana young brees big ben etc do in the clutch..

This is really an editorial -- does not belong in the news section.

I wouldn't doubt the the jET employee made advances towards Brett and was refused that's why she and her friends are making up accusations which will go nowhere. There has never been a scandal on Brett until he joined the Jets. And these are not innocent women by no means. You can tell by their pictures. Brett is a great quarterback and right now he should throw those accusations under the bed and forget about them. These woman could be looking for money also. Their not wearing goody goody shoes.

Jerry: Don't worry about Favre unless your a Vikings fan. Favre will do great in the next 12 games. No, they should not bench him. San Francisco has no wins and they are not changing the QB. There wins and losses in all sports. Brett did great last year by bringing them to the superbowl even if they lostl.

Let me go on record to say these women are creating a story to have Favre suspended from playing football. I don't believe a word of it. And as far as losing to the Jets that is no big deal. The next 12 games he might win them all. San Francisco has 5 losses and no wins. Now what do you make of that. The Bears are doing fine now but its too early to tell. I don't believe Cutler will win all the games for them. And the Manning brothers are just warming up. San Francisco is still going to keep their QB with no wins. No one can predict who will win the superbowl. It will not be the Saints again and it will not be the Bears. Get ready for surprises. Brett should still stay as QB until the season is over.

Go home Brett....you've had your day/s in the sun....go coach somewhere....little league maybe?? That's where it starts.....yes? We have enjoyed your immense talent..but it's time to move on....there is more to life than football!
Let this be your last year....and go help the poor & more unfortunate than you! There comes a time when a carpenter has to sell his tools, ...a musician to sell his horn, & a football player to empty his locker & go on to other things. Teach the kids behind you, and get out of their way!! We want to see the next Brett Favre's!!!!

This is a distraction that needs to be taken off the Team and be focused by Brett Farve and be done and resolved as soon as possible by the NFL ... As much as I love Brett Farve I am loyal to the Team's Integrity as a whole.. Good luck Brett and I pray that you did not Sexually Harassed a New York Jets Employee..
