Right on Lorraine! It is hight time for people to be accountable for the job they do (or fail to do.) Illinois, (the state where our governors make our license plates) is in desperate need of new blood. Let us hope....

This is criminal and must be taken care of immediately as all voter fraud must be charged to individuals in the agencies involved. They have had plenty of warning & time to implement improvements and have willfully declined. Remove them from office and give those positions to people who work their way up instead of appointees. The pay can even be less than $100,000 with plenty of takers for the jobs! Three guilty states I have heard so far are Illinois, North Carolina and New York. Any others up for new blood?

I think the DoD should have a standard form for servicemembers that all states will accept for national elections, and should maintain a 'catchall' website for local elections to send info through. The national election forms would also be available for local elections as a write-in system. The transmissions could be transmitted via fax or email to a DoD office and forwarded to the correct county administrator. This voting should be processed through the admin offices; whether aboard ships, forward deployed, stateside garrison or via embassies worldwide. The military has always been the forefront of change in the DC government's social agendas in areas such as racial and sex discrimination, health and safety in workplace, etc., and it needs to be a model for establishing the voting routine for young people in the US. In addition, I think it's a shame that those who often pay the most for a government's decisions have such a difficult time in chosing their own elected officials.

My son left for MCRD boot camp in San Diego on Sept 12th. I asked his recruiter about how the kids get to vote while in boot camp and he said that they will get a chance to do that. Meanswhile I emailed our state's voters help line and had to give my sons name, b-day,and address here at home, and also give them his address in San Diego. Why is this not automatic???
