Most banks seem to be into this mortgage scandal, but my personal experience is with Wells Fargo. They refuse to work things out by avoiding help with loan modification in any form. Although they did cut monthly payments in half for 6 months than back up plus $400.00 per month. So from $1200 per month to $1600, and wanting $8000.00 paid in a lump sum to make up for the 6 months of half payments. I don't know how they expected to see this happen, at the time I was out of work and living on unemployment and a small savings. Now that I've found employment and want to work something out, which I've filled out all required paperwork etc. They said my situation has put my home in line for foreclosure. With the horror stories of people paying back payments, late fees etc. to catch up and than get foreclosed on anyway. Any way as of yet I have not heard from the gestapo bank
