The point is that all muslims are terrorists and need to be bombed so that no more terrorist muslims can spawn and kill us. It's called pre emptive strike. Muslims are the cause of terrorism and they are the ones that caused 9/11. He was right when he said muslims killed us because it certainly wasn't americans that killed us because americans are white not mexican looking and a real americans don't believe in muslim gods.

I have heard it is a peaceful religion. I have also heard that Muslims are commanded to convert or kill infidels. I have not read the Quran so I can't speak on it intelligently. I just know that there are not a great lot of Muslims standing up against the terrorist acts committed in the name of Islam. America killed Timothy McVeigh for what he did. Finally the Catholic church is punishing their priests who committed evil. Where are the Muslims who condemn the terrorists? It seems (and maybe this is the fault of the media) that the Imam who wants to build the mosque tacitly approves of the acts committed against America. But he has the right to build there.

simply put. the way he put it was wrong. Islamic extremist is the word he should have used. I was stationed in Bahrain. Even though I am Christian I studied their religion and it is a peaceful religion. Bill needs to do more research before he actually BITCHES about things that he does not fully comprehend.

Whenever a person from Fox News or a Republican is a guest on The View, I cringe. The View women are generally more likely to be friendly towards a Democratic and do not hesitate to voice their partisan stance. They do not look at all sides of a question and often spout off without knowing that much about the subject. When it happened, I didn't know why they walked off! I shake my head at the view woman a lot. Shame on them. Elizabeth was right about using the word, "terrorists" because people will not be offended as much. The words, Muslims and Jewish can be referred to or associated as the people, or as their religion and therefore, becomes confusing. I watch O'Reilly and the View, but I hate election time. I thought that we could voice our opinions without feeling afraid the government or the View. Other nations are allowed to say anything about our country, even when they are guests. As far as the building of a mosque near ground zero, I think that those who decided to build it there was not thinking about how it would affect others, or maybe they did! They certainly were not sensitive enough to gracefully change its location. The activity center was already there which was okay, but to purposely draw attention to themselves is a questionable act.

Not being an O'Reilly fan, it is difficult to side with him. When someone like him is invited to be on "the view" what did they expect ? He is who he is and Joy and Whoopie are who they are : comedians. It was very unfortunate to see Joy and Whoopies behave like a couple of pouting teenagers. Joy is the soul reason I no longer watch the show--she is simply obnoxious!

  • Jani Jenkins - 14 years ago

It was an unfortuate incedent; could have been handled better by all conserned. But the scary thing is that the majority of you agree with Bill O'Reily. This country is in serious trouble! I miss democracy.

  • Jerry - 14 years ago

Everything Joy and Whoopie respond to is based only on emotion. Bill O'reily can act condecending to any guest or host that interupts him before he finishes talking or if they get off subject. Joy wouldn't let him finish speaking so he responded. Then he brought up about Muslims caused 9/11 and down hill it goes from there. The wouldn't stay on set to explain why they got so upset or maybe they couldn't back up their disagreement with facts or even try to. Joy and Whoopie are both weak for not standing up for their principals.

Someone said they worked in television for 6 years...well I have worked in televisioin for 33 years as a producer director. If I was producer on that show they would be gone. Seems the only people with freedom of speach rights are people on the left.

  • Janice - 14 years ago

I think Joy and Whoopie were right BUT they should have been more prepared than to let a radical...is he a Christian??...yank their chains. Bill O'reilly is like all those other "professional critics" that says anything and everything to stir things up with no care to what he really does for the country. You notice he backed down AFTER they left and Barbara took him on. He spews hate and half truths on his own show and never allows for a real discussion; they should have been prepared. Why doesn't he run for politics...because he knows he will be drowned out by the reality of running a country and going up against people like himself who twist and manipulate to stir things up but do not stand up and really CONTRIBUTE. He is a bully! People love to gossip and believe the worst of any situation and with guys like O'reilly stirring the pot with their abiliity to talk to millions and never be accountable we are assulted by propaganda and have to really look for the truth...which few are willing to do. I believe in the ladies of the view...well not Elizbeth because she is young, nieve and not open minded somewhat like Bill O'reilly...So ladies soldier on. Discuss ALL sides of the question as I want to hear all sides in a civilized honest manner with no unlying motives.

I strongly agree with Joy and Whoopi. O'Rally was wrong in generalizing all Muslims. I respect Joy and Whoopi and walking off the show was the best way to go. Bill O'Rally really does not show respect to anyone. I think he likes to hear his voice and over-ride everyone. But he met his match - way to go ladies. How could they discuss with him when all he does is overtake and override everyone!! No matter what anyone says, Whoopi and Joy made me proud.

I do not watch this show & this is exactly why. These women are so busy arguing all the time that they don't back up their shouting with facts. They are way over the top & extremely ignorant. As others posted if they did their research they would see not only that Bill was correct but what the Muslim religion is really all about. People are so busy trying to be "tolerant" of everyone and everything that we've forgotten that there is a right & wrong. They only showed their ignorance and immaturity by walking off. And Walters only showed her ignorance as well in her "corrections".

  • Sherry Egge - 14 years ago

I find it interesting that people think Bill O'Reilly should be shown respect, when he never gives guest with a opposing views respect on his show. He is always yelling over his guest and not really allowing them to express an opinion that is different than his own. I guess that is because he couldn't win a real debate on the real issues.

  • Barbara - 14 years ago

I have been watching the view for years. Lately, however, Joy thinks she is right and doesn't want to hear or let anyone else hear another view. She screams over every one. Really fed up with her attitude and actions.

  • Mary - 14 years ago

Fact - Attackers on 9/11 were Muslim
Fact - Quran calls for execution of all non-Muslims

Being unable to handle the facts, Whoopie & Joy did what any immature pea brain losing an argument would do - get mad, insult those who oppose them & go away mad.

Please, please, please cancel this show. I am done watching it.

  • Gordon Mathless - 14 years ago

O'Reilly said a true statement. The terrorists were Muslim, and their terror was in the name of Islam. What did Bill say that was incorrect? And,what has happened to FREEDOM of SPEECH? Do Joy and Whoopie think freedom of speech is only when you agree with them. They can't argue facts, only "feelings"; that is why they left. They showed their class and I.Q. when they walked out on show...ZERO!!!

  • Coniolga - 14 years ago

I think that two comidian/actresses arguing politics with a man that makes his living studying political views is totally crazy. They should have agreed to disagree like adults & kept a little bit of class. It's like that book "Shut Up & Sing." Talk about what you know about. O'Reilly doesn't blame all the Muslims for 9/11. Apparently Whoopi & Joy haven't read or checked out who these people are who are building the the thing to begin with. If you're on a "View" show you should research world news rather than just go by "feelings." Where are these women when Jerry Brown's aide calls Meg Whitman a "whore." They are prejudice toward conservative women. O'Reilly knows his stuff and is fair. He's not my favorite either, but I have to admit when something is true whether it's on my side or not.

  • DPDave - 14 years ago

If your only available response is to exit the discussion, you have admitted the absence of an intellectual response to the issue being debated.

  • Sandra - 14 years ago

I watched as it happened and it a ppears to me that Whoopi & Joy walked off justifiably. Why have a battle of wits with an unarmed man? Bill erroneously blamed ALL MUSLIMS for 9/11. He was wrong. It is statements like O'Reilly's that continue to fuel the message of hate and intolerance that those of O'Reilly's ilk and ignorance continue to spew. I would rather see Joy and Whoopi walk off than see them try to educate this moron. Barbara was wrong. She should have ended the segment and Billy should have been removed and sent back to Fox where his hate spewing untruths are acceptable. Anyone who buys into O;Reilly's rants is no better than those who roam our streets violently attacking others all the while displayiing their "gang pride". He is a hypocrite whose fans are are as ignorant and unAmerican as he. BRAVO Whoopi and Joy.

  • Sabrina - 14 years ago

I worked in television for six years and I feel BW is right. Whoopi and Joy were very unprofessional in walking off the set. They should've kept their heads and realized that O'Reilly was going to deliberately try to 'rile' them up. Riley is an idiot but because those two got sucked in, now it looks as if he "won" and they are hotheads incapable of having a discussion.

  • Rebecca - 14 years ago

Whoopie & Joy showed more restraint by walking away rather than allowing things to get even more out of control.Being a guest does not give anyone the right to be rude & condescending as O'Reilly was towards Joy. And clumping an entire group of people (Muslims) under the guise of their religion is a diservice to every religion. I'm Catholic but that does not make me a pedophile!

  • Sue cash - 14 years ago

    Barbara
Joy and Whoopie needs to GO!!!!!!. It is their way or no way, and that is WRONG, ON THIS TYPE OF SHOW. I used to be a fan of the show, but will NEVER watch again and it is not because I am a fan of Bill O'reilly's or my Political view, which I am a independent. I really cannot stomach Joy and Whoopie anymore and all my friends and family feel the same way.

  • Margaret - 14 years ago

Joy and Woopie were not Professional in todays interview. Get them off the show if I wanted to see babies pouting I would watch a cartonn network show. Deal with your Guests and that is what Mr. O Reilly was and have a proper discussion of the views. GET RID OF THEM NOW........
