  Like hands free does anything to affect the attention split and distraction caused by talking on the phone.

  Adult drivers are perfectly capable of deciding when, where, and how to talk on the phone while driving just as they decide when to eat, and when to talk.

  States should be able to ban car cell phone use that isn't hands free. The proposal to ban all cell phone use while driving is actually an attempt to limit the ability of citizens to communicate with each other and organize. Proponents of no-cell phone-use-with-or-without-hands-free-in-cars plans are out to make it easier for the government to have greater totalitarian control. Their "safety" talk is a disguise.

  This is ridiculous! We are involved in two wars, unemployment is stagnant at 9.6%, value of the Dollar is plummeting, illegal immigration is bankrupting local governments all over my state, ethics trials are postponed until AFTER the election... I could go on and on... But somehow the Congress has the time and resources to decide if we should be 'allowed' to use our cell phones, our personal property in our own cars also our personal property? Really!?!?!?!?
  Did you also hear they have the time to regulate volume of TV commercials.... I guess they are worried that pushing the volume or mute button might cause carpal tunnel syndrome thereby increasing national health care costs! What a crock.
  Next thing you know big brother will control how many decibels your speakers will be allowed to use... I bet they already regulate that...

  Just what the feds(OBAMA) needs...More control over everyones life! SHHEEZZZ! When are we gonna stop handing our liberties over on a silver platter? He will get them soon enough without making it easier!! It's a state issue!!!!!!!

  How about an option - "Ban on cell phones that aren't hands free"?
