Football is a violent game just playing by the rules, but when a player decides to 'take someone out" it stops being a game play and becomes a criminal act. Fine them and suspend them.

The NFL needs to send a strong message. With players making zillions of money, fining them is ludicrous. Its like fining me $1.00 for breaking the law. It won't have much effect, if any, on me. Now, if you suspend me from my job w/o pay for several days--now that will make a difference and most likely correct my behavior.
Suspend players for a game or two and you'll see "hits to the head" drastically decrease.
