Why would the hawks trade josh...he is the core of the team and has been for the past couple of years. Al, Joe and Josh are captains for a reason so why would you trade him....Trade Marvin Williams for all i care but DO NOT TRADE JOSH SMITH!!!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.. theyll be so freaking retarted if they let him go. First of all they give away money without thinking and as a huge hawks fan i think that if they (bibby, johnson, williams, smith, horford, crawford) finda happy medium in everyones salaries thay should keep playing together because they get better and better every year since Joe "Silent Assasin" Johnson has come to the team. Josh Smith just brings so much to the table. His defensive aggressiveness, his leaping ability, his shooting IMPROVING GREATLY, eyes eye on the floor; J-Smooth shouldnt be remplaced in my eyes. If they really need to move somebody its Bibby. Let Crawf start shooting guard and let Joe bring up the ball and everything else settle in. They can probably pick up a good roll player or maybe a decent starter. Who knows? Just dont get rid of Josh.

Move J-Smoove, Are they CRAZY???????????????He is the HIGHLIGHT FACTORY. If anything they need to move number 13-11 off DA BENCH and BRING IN A BIG GUY like when they were tryin to get SHAQ so that AL can play his right position. BUT KEEP JAMAL C., TEAGUE, and ZAZA

Get him outta atlanta the guy cant shoot and cant keep up his style of play which is all defense and little offense except for breakaway dunks for much longer. hes not that great of a player so for people to think hes that good shocks me. yes hes a nice sixth man but nothing else he simply cant shoot and is not a clutch player if you wanna win get rid of him before anyone else. 12 MILLION A YEAR? reallyy get some of the best shooters in the leage for half that price loll

This is kind of funny.. The topic at hand is Josh Smith. The first person to comment on this is a guy named Josh. My name is Josh.

Anyways, I agree. You can't trade Josh Smith. He's been on the Hawks since 2004, when he first came to the NBA. Trading Josh Smith from the Hawks would be like trading Paul Pierce from the Celtics, or Kobe Bryant from the Lakers. It doesn't matter who you replace him with, it's not the same team. To trade him would indefinitely result in a shift in (or lack of) team chemistry, which only leads to a handful of problems. I say let him stay, look to trade elsewhere.

P.S, there's no one else that can electrify Phillips Arena with their dunks like that. Give it up.

Smoove is simply the best player in that team, no matter how great do you think Horford and JJ are, he is the all around player every team needs. Energy, defense, passing, he does it all and he's still able to improve a lot. Send him to NJ for Lopez and Terrence Williams and we may start talking about getting what he offers for the team, otherwise, I can't see much more that is worth trading him for.

No way do you move Josh smith, he is the center piece of the team. If you move him that would be a big step backwards for the team, I don't care who you try and get to replace him. Bottom line is his name should not even be in the running for such a act.
