Does Scott Walker's win in the governor's race mean the end of high-speed rail in Wis.?

I hope we don't cut ourselves out of the rail system. When all other states are linked into the high speed network, will we want to be separated from it? You have to think beyond today. Look at what other successful economies have done with high speed rail. Road-builders may not like diverting scarce resources, but that is what progressive economies are doing. Road building, road maintenance and the vehicles that use them are already proving to be more expensive than intercity rail at the capacity needed for an efficient economy. Should we choose a course that will have us falling further behind Chicago and our competitors on the east coast?
