Andrew Bynum has been way too unreliable: he has yet to play 82+ straight games. And his 20 million contract is a joke when compared with Gasol, or even Odom at about $5 mm, given his actual playing time. I can only hope that his albatross contract doesnt hurt the Lakers down the road. I would suggest trading him and getting someone who can actually stay on the court. So of course start Lamar!

Odom should come off the bench because Phil Jackson has said it's better for Bynum's knee to start. We need Bynum to be healthy and this will facilitate that. Odom certainly has played well enough to deserve a starting roll but this is a problem with playing on the best team in the league. There are lots of people who want minutes and are deserving. Bynum is the best center we have and he needs to be put in the best situation possible to encourage his progress as he recovers.
