Campbell's Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup, without dilution. Lived with a lot of Jewish folks for a while, and they call it Jewish Penicillin. Heavy on the smaltz (chicken fat). For me at least, it works.

Macaroni and tomatoes.......baked if possible; in a pinch I'll just add tomato sauce to the macaroni.

I tend to want junk food for some reason, maybe it's because I normally don't it eat it but my normal fare just doesn't appeal to me when I am sick, so it's junk food or nothing. It also depends on the ailment and the weather.

I crave salty foods!

I'm with Aimee! Pho all the way. The hot oxtail broth is great protein matched with that herbal and fresh, basil lime flavor and topped off with that red spicy sauce that will clear any clogged passage way. Yum!

As soon as I feel a cold coming on (COLD, not flu), I run to Safeway for a loaf of their french bread and a gallon of Oj. I make up some of the gnarliest garlic bread, usually with a stick of butter and half a tube of garlic powder and said french bread, and eat nothing but that and the oj until the cold is gone. Only downside is people can smell me coming and going for days! Upside is I'm better within 36 hours! :)

I have no idea what "under the weather" means. If I have a cold differs from if I'm depressed or if I think I'm going to die. Each scenario presents differing kinds of cravings.

When I am recovering from an illness, I crave an egg salad sandwich, heaped on soft, white, super-gluteny bread (like Wonder bread). The egg salad needs to be practically dripping with mayo, and have a little bit of finely minced onion mixed in. Of course, due to health reasons, I only indulge in this kind of delicacy once or twice a year.
