old logo was better than current.
design & font of this logo seems like copied from from other logos like vodafone.
however new theme (ringtone) by ARR is fantastic.

i do like airtel but i hate this new log sorry to say it looks very similar to vodafone
but airtel service im happy with it

I am very sad to see this logo,i think its the worse logo i had ever seen,looks like a Chinese company! :)

Hi Friends , Every logo or some emblem has its own attraction amidst the masses ! A particular logo so well liked is hard to fade from our memory . But the new one when gains momentum will have more or less the same impact ! Let us hope Airtel thrived on the new logo and likewise impart improved quality in service on par !
Woke up to the two-full-front page ad on TOI | the front had the teaser as always | might have been impressive in black & white ( JWT whats happenig ? ) | then i flipped to see the follow up to the tease | what horror | what non-sense | AIRTEL, et tu VODAFONE ?
The brand identity by Brand Union is Disgusting & Disappointing, the old one was much better. I only wished airtel has not spent astronomical amounts towards this de-brand-building exercise.
Being a portrait photographer & visual artist myself, i see this as a stupefying act. This logo has absolutely no vision, no stories, no strings to indian culture & ethos, perhaps if the idea was to play cards to the global market, with an astute minimalism touch, i still find this quite irresponsible from such an incredible & dynamic power brand from 'our india"
Mr. Sunil Mittal, the least you could have done is run a national level design contest & have taken advantage of the uber-cool indian art & design talent. What a missed opportunity.

Air Tel, Express Yourself.... it's so good. but the new airtel logo it's not eyecatch, even the font also not strong. there is no command on that logo. the old one is 100 times better. Also people digest the logo so well. I'm really don't know why Air Tel chage the logo. but any way that is company opinion. I'm creative director (perticularly in branding) but I'm not saticify so much.
And the main this it's similar to Vodafone. (vodafone logo looks good).
Any way people love airtel because of it's good network.

Rediffusion DY & R has not done an exciting job on the brand identity. The old logo was better.

i hv always liked airtel for being a strong indian brand and giving mncs a run for their money..... but this logo is so similar to vodafone. has airtel developed cold feet as it is launching services in foreign locations outside south asia? airtel's biggest usp is that it is an indian brand offering global standards of service and would do well to stick to that image and be an individual. the new logo belies that concept.
