I believe that we should give the full amount to build their mosque when we no longer have to worry about muslims stop blowing things up. This means when hell freezes over. This is a direct insult to every victim and their families. Have we forgotten the children standing near ground zero and crying for their mother or father. Hell no!!!!

In the strongest terms, absolutely not!!! My question is this: Why are our elected and appointed leaders "playing footsie" with radical Islam, a religious and violently radical ideology which stands against everything our American ideals proclaim. We need to hold our leaders personally accountable for not upholding our Constitution which proclaims that one duty of government is to protect its citizens from "all enemies FOREIGN and DOMESTIC." It's time we got serious as to who our enemies really are, and act to remove the threat. I'm afraid our leaders are legislating and administering in a foolish and extremely dangerous manner. If necesssary, in a Constitutional way, replace them.

Not on a bet! If it's for the community, let them raise funds in the community. Not one dime of Federal, State, or City monies for this project. While I don't want to lower the US to Middle Eastern standards, no muslim country would ever permit construction of this sort for any other religious based organization. Yes, we have freedoms here. but they include, or should include, the freedom to say NO!

Of course the way the current administration is trying to kiss up to muslims, they'll probably approve it, but it's still an insult not only to the families of the 9/11 victims, but it's also an insult to each and every tax-paying american!!

Absolutely NO. Separation of Church and State in our Constitution is very clear on this subject.
I have NEVER heard of a Mormon, or Presbyterian, or Baptist, or Catholic, or Jewish church getting Federal Funds!!!
Further this would be an INSULT to all 9/11 victims and families.
This would set a dangerous precedent for any and all churches in similar situations to request Federal Government funds (our tax money).

How quickly they hide behind our laws here, wanting freedom of religion in America when they don't practice it in their own countries. Why is it that when a church or synagogue is in dire straits that the ACLU and every other progressive or anti Christian organization says that because of the "separation of church and state" clause (which is never mentioned in the 1st amendment, as we all know) federal funds can't be involved, but here with Islam they remain silent.
It's not like they practice a double standard or anything.
Moderate Muslims never condemned the actions of the "extremist" Muslims, and in their silence, they condoned it. Islam is at war with America, and we need to remember that. This mosque is just a slap in our face.
