What Is Best Response to N. Korea?

Send in the military? They are already there stupid! When they attack if you don't respond with force you give them the message you're not going to do anything about anything they do and encourages them to do more. If the South Koreans don't defend themselves why should we defend them? We should act the same way when we are attacked anywhere in the world.

Why isn't what North Korea did considered an act of war? In my opinion, murdering innocent civilians surely is ... so was sinking the South Korean ship with a torpedo. Unfortunately, I would recommend going to DEFCON 2 and if there is any other acts of war by NK then detonate a 5 kiloton fusion warhead 800 ft. over Pyongyang. I would prefer instead to use a neutron warhead, but I believe that moron Jimmy Carter had them dismantle them all. I would also support the reconstruction of our neutron warhead stockpile to use instead of fusion devices. FAR, FAR less destruction and fallout to worry about, and the military objective would be accomplished much better since the nearby countries would not have to worry about fallout. Besides, North Korea is going to have an ICBM that can reach the USA shortly anyhow, so what are we waiting for, to be vaporized ourselves first?

Detonate one 100KT bomb 100 miles from NK. They do anything else, detonate another exactly half that distance away. Keep it up, until the little pot-bellied tin-hat dictator realizes that his own butt is next.
