Allison is vastly UNDERATED! Have a lot of respect for Karl Urban, but Allison has been criminally overlooked by the music industry. She is atleast one of the top 5 female American Idol contestants of all time. Her album is dynamite, but didn't get airplay because Jive wanted her to be a disney pop princess & she didn't. She is a kickass female rock chick & she is Pat Benatar & Joan Jett, just 25 years lator. The music industry desperately needs Allison & artists like her because the music industry is far too overloaded with cheest disney pop & hip hop. Rock music needs to make a comeback so that there is more diversity & more to choose from in the music industry again & GOD BLESS ALLISON for not being a sellout & sticking to her guns. Allison is a raocker at heart. This stupid generation of kids doesn't know whay good music is because they haven't been exposed to it. Music that is played on the radio on the top 40 stations has gone to shit over the past 5 to 10 years, especially the past couple of years. Allison Iraheta is very very refreshing!
I can't believe how many people are saying they don't know Karl Urban, when he has played so many great characters over the years. Fy is probably right - they do know him, they just don't know his name. He is truly under-appreciated. I thought Alison was great on AI but there is just no comparison here.

Most people probably don't know who I am, but that doesn't mean I am more deserving of the underappreciated title. Allison is by FAR the most underappreciated musician of the year. She opened for Adam Lambert to sold out shows and is selling just as many albums as American Idol Season 9 WINNER Lee DeWyze.. YET SHE STILL GOT DROPPED FROM JIVE AND ISN'T PLAYED ON THE RADIO. Such a tragedy.
If people don't know who Karl Urban is then clearly he is the more deserving of the underappreciated title.
You folks who say you don't know who Karl Urban is, you probably do already know, you just don't know his name. He's one of those chameleon-like actors who's versatile and has played parts in a lot of popular things yet still doesn't get much credit for it. Check out his roles, and watch some of his interviews, you'll definitely become a fan. :)

Gee Dominic -- too bad the contest isn't for most underrated Idol contestant, then. This is for all-around ENTERTAINER, and Karl's long body (of work. ;-) ) has some real gems. It's time he gets the recognition he deserves!!
A Kiwi here but had to vote for Iraheta (sorry Karl!) - easily the most underrated Idol contestant, ever... She deserves a huge career - and if there's any justice in the universe she'll get it!
