Allison didn't lose! She just finished 2nd out of 64. Pretty damn good if you ask me. For those of you who haven't heard of Allison, finishing 2nd should be an indication of just how underappreciated she is. She finished 2nd & you haven't even heard of her. What if you had heard of her? And for those of you who haven't heard of Allison, YOU WILL! She is still pretty young & extremely talented. I think it is just a matter of time.

@AF I don't even know who you are, and if that's the first comment you've seen what about the number before it. You're talking to someone who is merely pointing out the fact that technically EW are cheating (not AI fans, as you may notice), I'm defending someone. Until you know me, or anyone else on this poll comments, a large number who DO know me, don't accuse anyone of being rude. IMO you are being very rude.

What can I say that hasn't been said? TG is not only spectacularly talented; he is consistently sweet and witty and thoughtful toward his fans, devoted to his family, and kinda the "anti-big-shot-celebrity." I am so thrilled to be able to vote for someone so scary-talented yet down-to-earth. Here's my vote, Hotch/Greg/Danny/David/Nigel/Beauchamp! You rule!

To all the fans crying foul about Allison Iraheta not winning, seriously, everything is against Gibson, as it always is. EW is horribly biased against him, and Criminal Minds. Just reading the descriptions used about him is enough. Even EW writers are calling on Twitter to vote for Allison ... and YOU call foul? What about us then? The CM/TG fans come together after a long summer of boiling anger about the departure of AJ Cook and the impending leaving of Paget Brewster, after taking on the network to at least get AJ's character a proper send-off and get Paget to finish the season as a regular. No wonder we are voting in droves, even the own network doesn't support or appreciate the show that is dominating the Wednesday nights, even so much that other networks' flagship crime dramas are being moved because they hopelessly lose (Yes, I'm talking L&O: SVU here).
So really, think before you cry foul. Perhaps there are just so many of us who are tired of the show, the cast and especially Gibson being overlooked by the media, the network, the critics and the award shows.
And EW, your journalistic integrity has always been questionable but shame on you for showing such a horrible bias - you would have been thrown out of every journalism class I ever attended.

Hi everyone, just wanted to put it out there that this poll is about which under-appreciated entertainer do you like better, which means that EW has already acknowledge that both these entertainers are under-appreciated. I'm saying this in the nicest way possible, but this poll is just a popularity contest. It's asking which one do YOU like better, not to go on and on about why the person is under-appreciated, it's already been established that they are both under-appreciated, it says so right in the question. So let's just stop the fighting and just vote for the person you like. I've never heard of Allison and I've only heard of Thomas Gibson through Criminal Minds. Thomas Gibson is a great actor and I'm sure that Allison is great at what she does, so let's just stop talking about cheating and just accept whoever wins. I hope I don't offend anyone but this is my two cents. Sorry Allison fans but I voted for Thomas Gibson.
I'm a 36 year old male & I'm in love with Allison Iraheta! Just wanted to say congrats to Allison for her 2nd place finish out of this 64 person bracket. That's quiet impressive. She is a very talented artist who is sorely underated & underappreciated so I think she deserves to finish atleast in 2nd place. Congrats to Thomas Gibson for winning! He is an amazing actor who definately also( like Allison) deserves more recognition.

Hey Jessica, just in case my allegiances are blurred with my last post - it is TG all the way for me, just trying to spread the harmony. Yep your right re girls, that sucked in all sorts of suckable ways. But as I said in previous posts, all these people who seemed shocked at TG s popularity are obviously unaware of our challenge to CBS during the summer, ok so it was not entirely successful but we took on a massive corporation and made our voice heard and imo galvanished the CM fraternity which is now uniting again for this...so basically what I'm trying to say is TG ALL THE WAY ...peace, love, and chicken drumsticks..

Gerneen: if this could solve US debt problem, I'd be glued to this poll every single second of the day. I'd even skip work tomorrow just to make sure it worked in my favor, LOL. And like iscoffy said, TG/CM fans feel so cheated that we're losing two great female actresses (two of the strongest female roles out today) because CBS is kissing the behind of an over-exposed, over-indulged narcissist. We feel extremely cheated, so this poll does mean a lot to us. I'm sure this poll means a lot to AI fans because she was dropped & doesn't get the recognition that other A.I. contestants get, and I totally understand that. ASDF re comments on Alison, I think if you look closly at them most if not all the icky ones were from "fans" of people outvoted by Alison rather than TG fans. We that is TG fans have been berated throughout this contest and if anything it has just made our determination and bond stronger. Re: voting hundereds of times..so what? There is no one saying that the other contestants fans cant do the very same in fact they are doing just that, I've seen it and indeed a good friend of mind who is a massive AI fan informed of same - we are having a fun batte!. This is a battle, a competition - should be fun and good natured but unfortunately some dont seem capable of distinguishing between this and nastiness, and in a battle it is all about outwitting your opponent, at the moment perhaps TG fans are working this one, again so what, but really for people to be constantly crying foul and calling us cheats throughout this process is just beyond boring at this stage.
At the end of the day the outcome of this competition is hardly going to solve the US debt problem, bring world peace or reunite the beatles so in the grand scheme of things, should we not just enjoy the banter! Of course TG must win though!!
I don't think any method for multi-voting is working, so it doesn't really matter who is trying to stuff the ballot box in either side, and I also think it's ridiculous to say that those who would on either side are somehow tarnishing the person they are voting for. People are getting far too emotional about this.
Some people seem suspicious that Thomas Gibson could have so many fans. Criminal Minds has a huge online fan-base that was recently mobilized to try to save A.J. Cooke and Paget Brewster, with people launching send-in campaigns to the network and creating petitions to try to get leverage. The online networks that arose for this effort are still around and easy to tap into for the "get out the vote" effort, as is the feeling that many CM fans have that our show and our actors don't get the credit they deserve.
Although Brewster gets to finish out the season, I don't think many fans were satisfied. It really doesn't surprise me at all that CM fans, with their online communication network and their passion and simmering anger at the recent network shenanigans are voting in droves. Clicking that button so that TG can win an online poll might not be that important in the big scheme of things, but it helps at least this CM/TG fan feel like maybe we can make a difference and get through to the network. If nothing else, a lovely guy who gives a compelling performance on a show I love will hopefully get a boost from the attention, and that's worth voting for. If all that is a nefarious plot somehow, I don't know what to say.
@immortalflaire - yeah - some people tried to vote multiple times, but the admins over there said that these methods don't work, aren't a good idea, and deleted the post. I've seen TG fans tweeting about how to vote hundreds of times and what they want the percentages to be when they stop voting too. I don't like that either.
I voted for Allison because I do think she is more under-appreciated. And I just like her better. I came to this poll because i was an Allison fan and I wanted to vote for her. But the comments from some people on both sides (the ones insulting Allison were especially icky) are icky.
Thomas Gibson is absolutely amazing, and Aaron Hotchner is one of the best characters on television. The fact that he has never been nominated for an Emmy (100 anyone??) is a travesty. He absolutely deserves this, and so much more. Vote TG!!
Thomas Gibson's performance in the 100th episode of Criminal Minds alone qualifies him to win. He did a fantastic job and didn't even get an Emmy nomination. I cry every freakin' time I see that episode. THAT's what a talented actor does - makes you believe them, makes you FEEL something.
Allison may be great at whatever she does, but she's too young to win an under-appreciated award. If she keeps doing it for YEARS and YEARS and doesn't get recognition, then, like Thomas, she'll be qualified to win.

I also applaud Sarah; clearly no one is going to change their mind, but despite that I'm going to have another go at it. I've noticed that generally (judging by the comments), AI fans think that she's under-appreciated because "no one" has heard of her and/or she got dropped by her label. I'm sorry, kids, but highly talented musicians get dropped by record labels all the time; if someone has the guts, determination and, yes, luck to stick at it until it works, _then_ "everyone" hears about them. So good luck to AI and I hope she does have the guts and determination. But seriously - this isn't under-appreciation. This is just the recording industry. TG, on the other hand _is_ known by "everyone," and is none-the-less consistently overlooked by the industry and his peers whenever the industry hands out awards and other substantive measures of APPRECIATION. As for Jessica's point - there's a reason I said "kids" in the sentence above. Whining about cheating is what children do. And Jude, if you _want_ to compare talent, watch a Dharma & Greg episode, a Criminal Minds episode, and then, say, Love & Human Remains back-to-back and then tell me that TG hasn't got at least as much talent as AI. He hasn't made the greatest choices in his movies, but man, can he _act_.

Jessica well said, this juvenile crap has been following us throughout this and to be honest it is just tiresome. As you said if these so called fans actually got together, stuck together and actually voted for the person the want to win then maybe things would be different. I said before that personally I think the fact that both of these people got to the final despite nastiness from "fans" of their respective opponents, should actually be something to relish and celebrate but no..."my fav is not winning, it must be because the others are cheating" - no TG is winning because he actually has true fans who relish the chance to try to pay TG back for all the lovelieness he has shown to us both as an actor portraying a character, and as a person with humility and modesty rarely if ever seen in the profession (I'm in the profession believe me there are a whole lot of egos) To finish, why dont we just leave it that if you like AI who is a very talented young lady, vote for her, put your energies into bringing her across the finish line as we TG supporters are doing because if I'm honest this constant barrage of hate was boring 3 rounds ago. Personally, I think Allison deserves it, but I wanna remind everybody that the poll is "Which under-appreciated entertainer *do you like better?*" Not which is more under-appreciated, not even which one *is* better. Which one do you like better. There's no point in arguing seeing as it's very unlikely anybody's gonna change their mind on this just because someone else disagrees.

Thomas Gibson isn't an actor who is known, seen and heard of everywhere. His quality of acting should rocket past that of most famous actors today. I think it's time the fans banded together and supported him just like he should be supported. Thomas is extremely talented and he deserves this.

I've heard of Allison, but I'm still going for TG. It's about being under-appreciated in the entire entertainment industry, not just in music. TG's been in movies, on tv, etc and yet he's got nothing to really show for all of his hard-work, dedication & talent. If it was about under-appreciated in AI I could understand people saying Allison.

could not agree more about CM being overlooked in the awards pool!! Thomas Gibson and the other actors (Joe Mantegna!, Kristen Vangsness!) are not appreciated enough for the fantastic work they deliver!
One other note..despite been Criminally overlooked in the awards pool for years, TG has never once complained or whinged or stomped his foot, he is the epitiome of professionalism. Good luck to the young girl dont know anything about her but she is just starting out lots of time to prove her worth and staying power..Good luck to her but for me its TG all the way...oh and finally finally, why are people complaining about robo voting TG fans, there are lots of us I can assure you and as some previous voters have pointed out we are tight and work together for stuff like this, so I dont see what the problem is really, I am sure if there was anything untoward going on with poll EW would step in so people lets just vote for who we want and quit with the "its not fair" TG TG
Thomas Gibson deserves this vote. His performance in '100' was Emmy quality and Criminal Minds is systematically overlooked in mainstream awards shows. I'd love to see Thomas get this award, as a fan and as an admirer of great acting!

Face it; she's got a lot of years to go before she can match Gibson, in either skill or being under-appreciated. I'm not saying in talent - but Gibson's been working professionally for five years longer than she's been alive, and how many awards has he received? Right again: none. He's never gone a year without being in something, usually multiple "somethings," rarely even taking a break during a hiatus. Just getting regular paid work in this business shows skill, determination and talent. But how do YOU spell "under-appreciated?" He hasn't even received a reasonable number of nominations! Allison's been a pro for _less_than_two_full_years_. How on earth, or even in your mind, does that stack up against 23?
Thomas Gibson all the way. The man has been putting out quality work for decades yet he is always overlooked by the media just because he doesn't live a life in the spotlights, and who knows what possessed the people who put together the Emmy nominations to snub him last year for '100'. In fact, he never won any award yet if you watch one interview with him and then watch him on Criminal Minds, his most recent example, you will see what a great actor he is.
And even if people are robo-voting for him ... what keeps Allison's fans from doing it for her, actually? For the record, there's what, 100 comments in her favour, if even? Criminal Minds secures MILLIONS of viewers every week (and is STILL overlooked by its own bloody network, the press, the critics, the award shows, you name it), maybe, just maybe, they had it with being under-appreciated.

Criminal Minds fans are a hugely loyal bunch who took on the network over the summer (technically we lost, but we still did it), we hardly ever get any exposure OR any positive articles written about us (I’m looking at you too there EW. You’re hardly the kindest of reporters to us) so MAYBE, just MAYBE, Criminal Minds fans have thought “enough is enough”. The stars have all tweeted the links, so it isn’t just TG fans voting, its KV’s fans, and Gube’s fans and probably the biggest bunch of all – Joe Mantegna fans. So stop saying “TG’s fans are cheating coz he’s winning” and think seriously for a second.

Say what you want about Thomas Gibson's fans, but he's been producing quality work since before this Allison person was even born, without getting any credit. Furthermore, I don't see how this Allison chick is all that talented, or famous. I'm 25 and I've never heard of her. If being invisible gets you this award, by all means it goes to her. However, if being talented and underappreciated is what gets the win, Thomas Gibson should win by a mile.
