Many movies are not Christmas movies as such. They have some parts of the movie that take place at Christmas ( like It is a Wonderful Life, at the end ) but they , to me, are not Christmas movies.

Where is The Ref? Such a great movie about Christmas dysfunctional hell! AND Denis Leary, Judy Davis, Kevin Spacey, Christine Baranski and Glynnis Johns directed by the late great Ted Demme.
Not only do all of the characters get to say what we would all like to say to our families at Christmas dinner, but it’s one of those deliciously quotable movies that everyone loves. One of my faves? “Your husband ain’t dead lady. He’s hiding.”

In my heart, love It's a Wonderful Life...saw it when it first came out, but gotts hand it to Christmas Story; was a kid in that era, and it is (except for two TINY bloops) nearly letter-perfect, and I love Ralphie. Watching it every year never palls.

I agree, if it had been on the list, White Christmas would have definitely gotten my vote. Already watched it a couple of times!!! LOL

I didn't see some of my favorite Christmas movies on the list - White Christmas and Holiday Inn are two oldies but goodies with lots of great Christmas music in them. Bing Crosby sings "White Christmas" for the first time in Holiday Inn. I also love a Jim Henson Christmas movie than no one has mentioned so far: "Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas" which has a real "Gift of the Magi" message. It's very sweet and has good music too. My daughters loved it in the 70's and 80's and I discovered the DVD recently, so now my grandchildren are enjoying it too!
