How do trials affect your relationship with God?

I am already very close to God and a trial does not affect my faith or interaction with Him/Her.

I experience doubt and feel more distant from God when I am facing a trial.

I initially feel isolated and alone, but in seeking strength I come to rely on and feel more connected to God.

I do not have a personal relationship with God and feel no change when I am struggling with life.

I immediately feel God's presence more clearly in my life when faced with a challenge.
