Welcome To Bristol Signs – Positioned throughout the city at key entry points and designed by both the community and professionals. Digital signage, Large scale signs on buildings etc
Bristol TV – Broadcasting Bristol events and activities. Radio? Youtube? Do something useful with that big screen in Millennium Square!
A ‘What’s On’ board - An electronic billboard advertising gigs, theatre etc. Getting the message out locally and nationally about what goes on here on a weekly basis.
Official ambassador scheme – get people from across events and business to fly the flag for Bristol and help get the Bristol message out
If the Bristol brand is alternative, creative, innovative and unorthodox we must ensure this is at the heart of everything we do as a city, so people will buy into it.
Revamp Visit Bristol website to enable event organisers to input and promote their own events (not just members)
Develop a a major central website/ Bristol portal for all information – a compelling one stop shop window for the city (for tourists and business)
Export Bristol talent internationally through twinning of Bristol with Tokyo, Brooklyn etc. Promoting the city through twinning will provide both cultural and economic value
Review all the external marketing the council does. Ensure that it shows the city in the best possible light.
