The Giants should have fired Couglin, they are just putting off the inevitable. The Maras track record for hiring coaches is abysmal. They had Landry,Lombardi,Fox,Belicheck.Couglin is a good coach up to a point.Yes,he's organized and detail oriented but his players don't respond to him by the blow outs they lose by.

I think Eli has been inconsistent since being the Giants starter. I've been a Giants fan all my life and I'm 55, and although the team won a Super Bowl with him he was NOT due to Eli's greatness, however more so for fantantastic catches that allowed the victory. The real truth is Eli should not have even been a NY Giant. The NFL & Giants should never have allowed Eli to not go to San Diego. If Eli didn't want to play in San Diego he could have found a job and tried out for an NFL team the following year. Phillip Rivers and Ben Roethlisberger, whom both were in the same draft, are better allround QB's and putting them in place of Manning would have won at least 2 Super Bowls already with the Giants team that Eli was QBing. Eli Manning is a gentleman and has represented the NFL well, but he's no Brett Favre or Tom Brady, nor a Payton Manning or Donavan McNabb. If Bill Parcells had him under his wing he would definitely be better, but he is spoiled and that is the NFL's fault as well as the Giants. I wish Tom C. would send him a message every now and then and pull him from the game, but it's all about money spent and the Giants want him on the field to take the hits he was paid for. Meanwhile it's the fans as usual that suffer. Oh let's not forget the BIG BOY'S of BLUE don't want to hear us fans Boooooo, just sit back and bare with it.We got what we paid for...
