They are trying to pick new contestants. J.R. Smith has been in multiple times, same with
andre igoudala. But Brandon jennings? and its about time my Boy Ibaka got some love, But what about Russell Westbrook?

the selection committee for this needs to be real athletes its disappointing to see 4 people when the dunk contest used to have 8 contests and multiple rounds and a crown worth carrying now its becoming a showing of how unversitile you are or people dont want that label. Somebody petition for the NBA's best to return the valore to this contest even the 3 point contest isnt what it used to be. I used to be inspired by this amongst other feats of NBA skill, now i laugh considering i could compete in this with my eyes closed.

If u wanna be realistic, JaVale and Blake are the only good picks for the slam dunk contest.
Just take a look at all of the other great highflyers of the NBA.
I mean, compare Brandon Jennings to Rudy Gay, J.R. Smith, Sonny Weems, DeMar DeRozan,
DeAndre Jordan, Nick Young, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Trevor Ariza, Jordan Farmar (42 inch vertical !), Russel Westbrook, Tony Allen, Tyrus Thomas or Baron Davis to complete the list.
So why take some (bad and unknown) dunkers like Serge Ibaka or BRANDON JENNINGS ?!

If kryptoNate Robinson was allowed to join again, then for sure my money is on him. Maybe the other teams are just thinking playoffs,besides it is very possible to injure yourself while dunking. Even ask Lequeen, I mean Lebron.

i think its about time the 7 footers get some praise, especially javale mcgee, name another 7 footer who can launch from the free throw line and stuff it with his arm pit.
though i also agree that j.r. smith and rudy gay should be definite contestants, how JR was missed is beyond me??

when is the nba going to realise the dunk contest has been terrible in the last few years.
Time to get some real dunkers in it..

and if these guys are too important to their teams for a dunk contest bring in some other rookie high-fliers.
