my vote was for tea because its my lifeline; tea makes the world go round!
my vote is for wheat because where would we be without bread and cake?
my vote is for wheat because food security = economic / social stability
i voted for papyrus because it helps us pass on knowledge and knowledge is power
i voted for grass because its important in the food chain and food supplies

Although I'm happy to experience the various plants that different countries and cultures have to offer whilst on my travels I couldn't be without my selection of teas, in particular Earl Grey and Rooibos with vanilla. Tea comes in many flavours and colours (green, red, black, orange, lavender, etc). You can even have Christmas tea. How good is that!!
papyrus - without it there wouldn't be this form
papyrus - paper has become an integral part of our civilisation
cotton - we need clothes
english oak - out of little acorns grow great oak trees
the english oak - it is the traditional plant of England; also good for climbing
rice gets my vote - more peoples staple diet
the Romanian Daisy would get my vote because it looks like a British daisy
grass - cos cows eat it
wheat - cos its a good food source
wheat - food manufacturing, biofuels; widest range of influences across widest geography
wheat - staple diet, life sustaining
tea - its used everyday
papyrus - because its done so much for us all; the written word passed on and now ecologically - brilliant
garlic - it smells nice when you fart it out
the rose - because it looks nice
english oak - from little acorns; what a great tree
the daisy get my vote - you can make daisy chains
cactus would get my vote because i love Mexico
grass - you can smoke it
tea - because everyone drinks it

wheat - without feed wheat not much would survive

even though horse chestnut is a tree i prefer the english oak and trees clean the air
