    Oh, please! BITTER cold = -10F (at least). Up here in North Idaho, during our 6 month winter, your 40F would be considered a heatwave or a "pineapple express"!!
    It's 6F right now, and dropping!

    I'm with Gastineau - your choices don't go low enough. As a data point - I grew up in Duluth, MN, and had the same experience in elementary school. I would have picked -10F if it had been an option.

    Your choices don't go down enough.

    When I was a kid in elementary school in Minnesota, they made us wait outside until the bell if the temp was above -20F.
