What city will be MLS's 20th franchise?

Miami would be a better choice than New York since they already have their own team (Red Bulls). Also Miami has a strong hispanic community which have historically migrated towards soccer and the people of Miami would provide funding for the team.

Cosmos by far makes the most sense. They have the funding. They have the allure. They have some great soccer minds at their disposal. And I think you will see more rivalry with the east coast teams as well, now that Philly, Red Bulls, DC and New England are all now established organizations. We have a few years to expand to the south. St. Louis, Atlanta, Miami, Phoenix/Vegas should be in line. The next two teams should be in the south, but not before the Cosmos. Plus we can push Houston back to the west where they belong. Who will end up in the west if NY gets the nod? Kansas City. The red bulls will keep their current NJ majority fans and the cosmos will take the city by storm if they can build their proposed queens stadium. They should have no problem with attendance being in the city and the league knows this. These other teams better show they can match if not exceed that. I bet you will see red bull games begin to draw more people just from the ripple effect as I would think that there will be some big names to go there with the management and backing they have. Match that with Henry and co. playing the cosmos and a few big names, the league wins in the end. On that note... San Antonio could end up like Dallas with two seats to every fan. Must be comfy at those games. Nothing like Galaxy, Timbers, and Sounders games. Miami will eventually be tipped for a team again, but I think it would be better fit to put them in when there is another team in the south to play against. I think there were good intentions in the Fusion and Mutiny. Unfortunately with bad timing. The league buzz will bring them back to the seats out there when the time is right. I am just sad to see all these stadiums sitting empty for Crew, Dallas, Colorado, and Chivas. Those teams were better suited for later induction once the league was more mature. They got lost in the mediocrity of their time of inception. Rapids win the championship and no one in sports rabid Denver cares. Same in Dallas, good 2010 season, yet no fans. Crew ditto that and they should be thankful they even have a team. Chivas are an eye sore, both branding and on field results. I say move them to San Diego and tap a new fan base and rebrand them. Chivas limits their fan base to a pro mexican crowd, which is fine, but most of them would rather watch the real Chivas. If the owners were smart, wipe the chivas name and cater to the american culture a bit and they will make money for themselves and for the league. Success starts with fans and money. No wonder they don't play well. No one in LA cares about them. I wonder what the amazing Chivas Guadalajara fans think about their sorry brothers to the north. The Galaxy come close to filling the stadium regularly. If it wasn't for the small supporters section at Chivas games, you might hear the crickets. That is a waste of an import spot in the league when there are so many other places that would appreciate the opportunity to host and cater to the MLS. Don Garber should be strongly influencing Chivas to look at the possibilities of change.

I believe Fresno,CA would be a great place for an MLS club as football (soccer) is big in the area as we maintain much support central california between The Bay and LA areas which can attract many people. As this club will widely support the valley.
